I have a situation in which my PRI trunking is suffient for normal day to day operations, but quarterly my company has a conference call with 1000 participants (about 400 of which are in my corporate office) and I only have 161 PRI channels to support outbound calling. I have many other PRI's...
Hey. How are the CCIE voice goals going. I've also got the CCVP cert and CCIE voice test complete, but due to job change had to drop the intensity of my studies for a while. Well I'm back in the game and ready to hit this hard. I'd love to find a few people with whom to trade study...
I have taken and passed the CCIE voice written test. I would say this test is very much like the sum of the tests which make up the CCVP certification. If you could score 85% or better on that series, then I think you could pass the CCIE voice written.
Hello,
I've got an IPCC Express 3.5 and Call Manger 4.1(3) on different servers. Our company is asking for reports on Auto Attendant applications within the IPCC server, but also wants some data from Call Manager relative to the same call in the same report. In looking at the two databases, it...

Must have device control over the pilot points and must be enabled for CTI application use.
Here is a link to a Attn. Console Q/A:

Hello,
We are currently connecting an FXS port to a Bogen UPAM paging module. When a caller dials the DN of this port and speaks, the system works great. If a caller dials the DN of this port but hangs up prior to speaking, the bogen plays reorder tone for 5 seconds or so over the paging...
The goal is to classify on this edge switch based on CoS or DSCP. The connected device can supply both. I typically configure the QoS at the physical port using an "MLS QOS Trust CoS" statement at the port, then use the DSCP-COS map to get the DSCP marked correctly
What I'm having trouble...
Relative to a Cisco 3750 access switch using vlan based QoS on the switchport, can some describe how the switch maps the VLAN to a specific priority level. Example config:
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1
switchport access vlan 25
switchport mode access
switchport voice vlan 28
mls qos...
3640 is a good all purpose router which supports most voice cards of the last 3 -4 years. Look around on ebay, there's tons of stuff out there. The older (non-XM) 26xx series are real cheap, but make sure you can get the IOS features you want before buying one.
Transfer direct to voicemail without ringing the users phone is one case when I've used this. CTI route point with DN of XXX, which is set to forward all calls to voicemail. Make a tranlation pattern like *.XXX and strip pre-dot. Set up the Class of control so that only the tranlation...
It's been a while since I've worked with the IPCC application, but I do recall that there is a setting in the "agent" portion of the administration pages for IPCC which toggles an "auto-ready" state on and off. When I used this, the result was to set the caller back to "ready" when a call was...
You can modify the softkey template to take away the transfer soft button. I've used similar to remove the call forward softkey to prevent front desk staff from forwarding the main line to some DID by mistake.
Called party number is preceeded by a "0". Not sure if this will cause a problem or not but it looks fishy to me. I would expect there would be nothing there, or a "1" there.
Make sure the JTAPI user has permission to control this device. Once JTAPI can control it, it should register, then you can use it as an application trigger.
While logging in locally to the CallManager server, use SQL Enterprise Manager and run a query on the CDR Database / CallDetails table. Export the file to Excell2000 format. It walks you through the process of building the query. You will have to convert the date / time into the correct...
I used to manage a 40 site network a portion of which used Cisco IP phones. I did run the DCHP from a utility server at the Headquarters office. Remote sites had 6 vlans (subnets) each, so we had 200+ scopes on the server. As long as the scope network ID matches the network ID from which the...
Ciscoworks is a bit overcomplicated for what it does, or at least what most people want to use it for. I'm sure with enough effort it will do great things, but I don't know anybody who has the time to devote to it. My former company had it and all we really used if for was to backup device...
You may need to remove old files from flash as well. You may have the right amount of flash, but there may not be room left for the files you are trying to place there.
