Thanks for your reply.
By my knowledge, the Global Address List can only be edited by the system administrator via the Active Directory. So, they need me to edit this list. That's not an option cause I'm external. This seems not be flexibel enough.
Or am I wrong...?
For a small company (4 empl) I use Public Contacts to share the company-wide adresses. 1 person takes care of this list. I configured their Outlook 2003 clients to first look in this folder and added this folder to their addressbook. Works perfect.
Problem: in webmail (owa) they are able to view...
Hi all,
I've got a problem with my Exchange 2003 server. Since a few day's, when I create a new email box for a user, the email addresses are nog created anymore. As far as I know I didn't change anything on the server. It's a 'clean' server, so without any other software. I read about...
...network neighborhood and also cannot connect to the share (also tried net use command). Can anyone point me into the right direction?
Extra info:
* Windows XP SP2 has no firewall enabled, also no third-party one
* I've already tried installing NetBios on Windows XP
* TCP/IP Node type is set...
In a Windows 2003 domain, all server synchronize with the domain controller.
If you're not using windows 2003, then use the NET TIME command to define a sync partner for the (terminal) servers. Consider defining you domain controller as trusted time source.
Type NET TIME /? to see the options...
If this user is always connected from remote (VPN/Dial-in) than is seems that you have a little problem with your TCP/IP connection. This is a known problem for remote connections on Windows 2000 and MetaFrame 1.8/XP servers.
If you are in this situation, you should enable the ICA keep-alive...
Start the Citrix Connection Configuration tool on your terminal server. Push the "Advanced" button and see if anything strange is configured at the section "AutoLogon". Something like "Prompt for Password"...

Every session would need about 15-20kbps to run fine. So start calc.exe and see how many sessions you can serve using your dial-up connection. I would consider using a double ISDN connection which would give you 128kpbs max. That's about 6-7 sessions :-) You should see it as a very temporary...
Google just told me that you probably have a problem with Borland InterBase 5.x on your Windows 2000 machine. This version isn't certified for Windows 2000.

Hi Tony,
I'm facing the same problem you did. I know how to change it with the use of vbscript, but I want to change the Pre-Windows 2000 name from the command prompt.
Did you find a solution for this?
Thanks,
Ruben Giaccotto
That's the default answer, but not an answer to my question. If you read it again you'll see that I want to use the option Logon to Windows Domain. I want my users to login to the domain so they can use their drive-mappings.
Do you have another option?
Hi all,
I have a 3Com VPN Firewall configured for the external users to connect to the network through VPN. I use PPTP. This part of the VPN implementations works well. But now I want them to log on to the domain also, so I´ve check the logon to windows domain option in the Windows XP VPN...
My ISP doens't provide that function cause i'm not a business user. I have a normal consumer ADSL connection. The Exchange server I'm talking about is a server for private use.
Driveremap still works on Windows Server 2003. Be sure to login as an administrator after the reboot. After login the FixSecurityDatabase.cmd file will be executed (automatic) to set the finishing persmissions.
Cheers!

Hi all,
I have an Exchange 2003 server running on a Windows 2003 server, and I want to have a fallback solution in case of my server is offline. Does anyone know how to realize this?
I have a friend who also has an Exchange server. Is it possible to set a second MX-record to his mail server...
Hi,
I've installed W2k Load Balancing on 2 machines wich are connected to a layer 3 switch. I've tested this configuration with one of these machines and a test machine. No problems, load balancing worked well. Now I've replaced the test machine by another permanent machine and now I'm having a...
