I have a enviroment with 300 windows 2003 servers and epo360 to manage VSE 80i patch 13, we see sometimes it is impossible to shut down/restart the the server because "autoupdate" is "not responding" ??? why ?
You can also try using IP-Filtering, we have done that for our thin connection (Wireless mobil solution). I have asked Mcafee for a option that would alow machins to jump from different IP scoups to get different policies in Epo.

Mcafee 451 is out of support, I guess it is too bad, I would use this as a good excuse deleting this old OS and reinstall with XP. Bye the way I also still got about 20 WIN95 mashines..... but i only update unce a week, and not dat 4683. I hope you will find a way through....
I would stick with patch 9... you can see my problems with patch 11 in a later thead at this forum. We now have problems with BSOD when uninstilling VSE 80i with patch 11a so dont go there before mcafee release patch 12 or ...
we have the same installation with Citrix Metaframe 1.8 But we dont have any performance problems with our installation. but it could be nice to stop loading sqlmangr.exe, shstat.exe, tbmon.exe and updaterui.exe for each user.
We have done it in your test lab, we have just used the same version and install script as we are using in our Production enviroment. No problems seen so far :-)
yes, your all right when i made the first notise on this forum, mcafee did not know what to do and what was wrong.
Mcafee have seen this problem in 8 installations worls wide. 3 i in denmark and 1 austria and the last ... ?
We have at consultan from mcafee for 36 hours to fix the problem...
your problems has been solved, Mcafee has provided us with a patch to rollback to patch 10, it is a bug in citrix print patch from mcafee, you will only see the problems if you are running citrix in a large scale. Contact your mcafee supporter to get the fix.
