Greetings McAfee Beta Participants,

We are very pleased to announce the final release of VirusScan Enterprise 8.5i. It should be available from our download site by the close of business (PST time) today (11/29).

Note: The help files will be posted on 11/30.

It is kinda funny. I downloaded it successfully and posted my response late yesterday afternoon, but when I checked the web site late last night and this morning, the VSE8.5 link displays "No Software to Download".

I hope they didn't find any new bugs with the full release version and yank it off the web site as I want to begin testing it today.

OK, was just browsing the Mcafeehelp.com forums and saw this post:

This is to inform you that VirusScan 8.5i has been removed from the download site and will be reposted by end of day PST on Thursday, November 30, 2006. There are two reasons for the repost. First, a recent Microsoft Security update created an install problem on Microsoft Windows XP. This problem has been resolved in the new package. Second, the ePOPolicyMigration Utility necessary for preserving settings when upgrading to VirusScan Enterprise 8.5i was inadvertently left out of the package. The new package includes this utility.
