    You will be able to backup the system and its related configuration EXCEPT any active directory data and system state. Bricks will not work.

    Our security policy prohibits using the default sys, system or internal accounts for backups. Our way around it: using a generic account setup as sysdba. It has not failed us yet on our 100+ instances.
