Arcserve 2000 and Exchange 2003

Hello!

I have a question, we have a storageserver W2k / SP4 german version with running Arcserve 2000 SP3 German Version and a second server with Windows 2003 and Exchange 2003. It`s possible to use the Arcserve Exchange Agent from Arcserve 2000 to backup the Exchange 20003 database in normal mode and in brick level mode ?.

I never tried it but I do not think it is a supported configuration.

I guess brick level does not work.

You will be able to backup the system and its related configuration EXCEPT any active directory data and system state. Bricks will not work.

we tried to use arcserve 2000 backup exchange 2003 mailbox use brick level backup,it does,but gives us low speed!!

ARCserve 2000 does not officially support Exchange 2003. Check

If you get it to work then you are lucky, but I wouldn't trust it myself.

BAB 9 (patch 2 or newer) and BAB r11 both support Exchange 2003.
