I have recently did a similiar thing for one of my Customers at his HOME.
I installed a small 8 Port switch, which connects all his PC's together and then us Then use teh internet sharing software that comes with win98 or XP to connect to the Internet and it works very well.

There has to be a simple solution to this problem.
1) Is it only one Server ?
2) R U only using one hub/switch ?
3) Replace the server in total.
4) Try another power source for the server/switch maybe power them via a UPS.
5) Have the grounding of all PC/SERVER/SWITCH power connections checked...
Couple of things you could do.
1) Replace Fly lead, cable from PC to wall connector.
2) Replace patch lead at HUB/SWITCH.
3) Have network cable checked from end to end.
4) Uninstall network acrd protocols etc. Shutdown restart & re-install all network components.
