In xl2003 you can use this technique to copy and paste a transparent oval to the series.

To add information to the addin such that it is displayed in the Addins dialog use the Title and Comments field of the documents properties.

Hi Skip,
I read the whole question differently from you.

The same principle can be applied to other chart text elements and embeded textboxes.
Have a look here for a collection of examples of how to create a clustered/stacked chart

Hi,
Sounds like you have selected the stacked line and area charts.
In order to get a series on to the secondary axis you must have minimum of 2 series in the chart.
Hi,
You do not specify a range or text for the axis labels it defaults to 1,2,3,4 etc up to the number of data points.
Right click the chart and bring up the Source Data dialog and then clear the Category labels range.
Hi,
Double click the data labels and check the setting of 'Right to Left' 'Text direction' on the Alignment tab. Maybe it is set to Right to left.

Hi,
Deleting the labels by hand is indeed an option and depending on the size of your problem may well be less work.
In fact if you select the series and then select the last point you can then use the format dialog to apply a data label to this single point.
Hi,
You can create the shaded effect by using 2 extra data series plotted as an area chart.
There is an example here.

Hi Messsp,
Skip's suggestion will work. It sounds like you didn't have the column series selected when you pasted the autoshape. Therefore rather than been used as a fill it is simply a object within the chart.
