I'm having problems connecting XP to a w2k domain. We have a Wan with this configuration:
PLACE 1
DC + 50 clients (mainly windows XP)
|
|(dedicated circuit)
|
|
PLACE 2
20 clients (w2k + wXP)
In PLACE1 we had no problems joining computers into the domain. In PLACE2 w2k computers had...
It doesn't work either.. and hibernation is turned off. The batch didn'd work even when ran directly. It does now, but only with the CALL command before the shutdown -s -f, but not when scheduled.

I'm trying to schedule a shutdown with a batch file and task scheduler. The problem is the command (shutdown -s -f) runs wiht no problems on the command line, but not in the batch file. It keeps repeating the command, but wiht no results.

If you want to map it to lpt1 on local computer just type:
net use lpt1 \\newvision_server\2nd_floor_printer
To delete the map:
net use lpt1 \delete
For more options type:
net use ?
Can anyone tell me how to completly remove mysql from a winxp machine? I've tried mysqld --remove but it didn't seemed to work, previous configurations stil there. I instaled FoxServ and somehow now I can't even create tables with php-nuke, or xoops... I would like to re-install it.

Even knowing it is not the problem, beware of the network traffic printing generates. Printing remotely, from a simple 56k modem, doesn't seem to be a good choice.

I think it is possible combining Unattend.txt with Unattend.udf, but that is on a cd install, not sure about sysprep, i'm having problems with sysprep too.

I'm afraid it is not :\ I've allready left the job, only monday now. But the sysprep file was at the sysprep directory on both trys (c:\sysprep and a:\sysprep).
