I have this same issue. Our users that use the portal aren't part of the domain, simply website visitors. They don't know the name of our domain, yet it forces them to put in "domain/user" format to login. Any way to avoid this? All suggestions regarding IE have not worked, nor do I believe...
Our SharePoint Portal Server 2003 website can be access through the internet (www.mysite.com). I go to this link, SharePoint will open a username/password popup box. If I put in simply my username and password, it won't let me in. If I put in my server domain and username (domain\user) with...
One of my Windows 2000 SP4 servers gives me an event 1053 each time I try and stop a service. Then it hangs on "stopping". It doesn't matter what service, any of them hang. Of course, event 1053 is soon generic I have no further details to go by. Any thoughts out there?
TIA,
Ben
My company is looking to expand our service offering and becoming a small WISP. Of course we want to set this up right, and money is not an option at this point. We don't want the cheap method, just the best method. Does anyone have any insight on the best approach? Starting out, we'd only...
Running Windows 2000 server as a DC with MetaFrame XP Presentatio FR3. Everything seems to be running just fine. I installed all the applications our users need, and published them via the CMC. When a user logs on, though, they don't see any of the apps on their desktops or start menu as...
Unfortunately we have no choice. SBC modified R14 for their own purposes and did not keep up with the versions since. We didn't customize it, they did. Kind of puts us in a bind, I know.
We can get 2002-2005 (We already have a subscription for a half dozen licenses) but they're so expensive...
Yes, I am well aware of Autodesk's policy. That's why I can't buy this on eBay or something. It's also why we've purchased a number of 2005 licenses at $2700 each! Ouch! (We can't use the Light version in case you're wondering). I need more copies now, and $20,000 is not really an option...
My company uses a modified version of AutoCAD R14. We need more copies! The only other option is to purchase 2002-2005 (which we've done in the past) just to backward license our R14 copies. I would rather just find a place to purchase these from! If anyone knows where I can find this...
I have done a lot of research in regards to the licensing issue with Citrix and Terminal Services CALs, and now I am more confused then ever! Can someone please, once and for all, shed some light on the issue? Do we need Terminal Service CALs when running Citrix? Here is my environment:

Very good information! Thank you!!! Unfortunately, there are no items in the respective Folder Redirection sections, so that's not how this perticular network is setup.
Very frustrating . . .

I just inherited a new network running a Windows 2003 AD
environment with all the workstations Windows XP Pro. One
of the cool features they have setup is with the user
profiles.
There are two folders: "my documents" and "desktop". When
ever I copy something to my desktop, it moves it to...
You just need to configure the ICA connections"
I am having a similar problem here. For some reason my local printers are not being autocreated on some of my remote offices using local printers, even though auto-creation is enabled on the console.
Can some one please explain the settings I...
Unfortunately I have MICS version 1, so I don't have those features. I also have over 200 extensions, and it would be very time consuming to go through every one. It appears I'm at a dead end.
I'm not sure what DID or a private CO stands for, but every employee can be reached by their own number (i.e. 555-4640), or internally by the last four or their number (i.e. 4640). I haven't added any phone lines for a while, so there hasn't been any changes to the system. Each phone has their...
It's not voicemail related as far as I know. I've had this phone setup for years and it's been working fine. It just started doing this. Anything inside including transfering works fine. It's only when you call the number from the outside directly. I tried the cancel forward, but that...
