    Messages not being delivered

Unfortunately I can't change the display names as this is with the external company. Email is getting to the server by the POP3 connector. Logging has been increased to see what happens. In message tracking there is no mention of this message.

    Messages not being delivered

I have a client site setup with SBS2003 std, using Exchange 2003 and the POP3 connector to collect email. Problem is this: 2 external sources cannot send email to this exchange server. I believe the email is failing when it is being delivered on the server, as I have tried pulling the email...

Run the ICW and now no-one can get access to the web...

Client is running SBS 2003 Premium and wanted some extra items working such as VPN and OWA (previous compnay had not done this). I noticed that the ICW had not been run so I ran it, no errors came back, but no no-one can access the internet. The server can, but an FTP program that runs on the...

    Credit card problem

When inputting credit card details on websites to make a purchase (happens on all sites) IE6 will crash when the last of the 16 digits is entered. I've logged in as a local admin on the machine, in case the profile was corrupt, still the same. I've run all the updates to IE, any ideas???????

    Server Problems

I'm running SBS2003, logged into the server yesterday (it gets switched off every night), it took a long time to log in. When eventually "in" no icons were on the desktop and only some programs run. The likes of Windows Explorer, IE will not open and come up with the following error: "Access...

    ActiveSync

I need to setup active sync for use with a Windows 2003 Mobile device. I'm running SBS2003 std, and it is the only sever we have, it is sat behind a firewall. I would just like some pointers on how to set this up as there seems very little out there describing this in much detail (an idiots...

    Sent on behalf of.....

I have granted a user the "Send on behalf of" permission (under delivery options) for one of the companies managers so she can send messages as him. But sometimes the email message gets sent so that the recipient can see the "sent on behalf of" displayed in the address, but sometimes doesn't...

Error processing the on tape catalogs

Well as the subject says I'm getting that error whenever I try to do a backup. Its on SBS2003 running BUE 9.1, I have uninstalled BUE 9.1 and reinstalled and still the error appears. Communication with the tape is fine as the erase runs ok, but the backup fails after about 3mins. If it helps...

    Not creating mailbox

Should I be updating/rebuilding the RUS before or after creating the new user, does this have any affect on existing users?

    Not creating mailbox

Thanks for the pointers but problem is still there. I've left the newly created account alone hoping the RUS would do its "thing", but when looking at the new account nothing is listed under email address. Can I just add the SMTP addresses in? I guess not as I don't think a mailbox has been...

    Not creating mailbox

On a SBS2003 server when I create a new user it is no longer creating an Exchange mailbox. This did work about 3 weeks ago but now has stopped. To the best of my knowledge nothing has changed on the server. I've tried the various ways of creating a new user and still the same result. I've...

    Access denied error

Any more info on this error, as I am also getting the same problem on 2 separate servers running SBS2003. The systems are also running Symantec Multi-Tier AV if that has any relevance? I'm sure it is not a credential issue as it is only certain emails in peoples folders that get the error...

    SMTP Communications Probem

Have had this many times (but only on external bound mail), and every time it was a problem with my ADSL provider who also provide SMTP service. So might be worth a call to check all their systems are ok.

Slow login from xp workstations to windows server 2003

I've had similar problems in the past and it's usually down to the lack/wrong DNS Server being listed in the TCP/IP properties.

    Users not listed in GAL

Just read a thread about disabling "Cached Exchange Mode" on the client. That has cured it!!!

    Users not listed in GAL

Hi, I'm in the process of setting up SBS2003 on a new server. A few days a go I created a few test accounts and the test users appear in the GAL fine. Yesterday I created 10 real users and none of these are listed in the GAL???? If I use OWA I can search and find the 10 real users but not...

    Configuring SBS for VPN

I'm using a hardware box for VPN (connecting using PPTP) to my LAN which is working fine - I can see all the Windows XP workstations and connect to them. The problem is connecting to the Win2K SBS. I get a message saying that the server does not accept remote requests. I appreciate this is a...

    One user can't access OWA

Made some progress... This is now solved and was due to the following: When I created a new user I was editing the SMTP address to a new one. But IIS uses this to link back to Exchange, but because I had changed it it couldn't find the account. So I added back in the original SMTP address as...
