This is not just a Win 2000 Server question, but a Win 2000 question. When running RAID 1, since the purpose is redundancy and recovery, if a drive fails, what steps do you take to:
1) begin using the mirrored drive that did not fail?
2) once you replace the failed drive, get it 'mirrored back'...
What was the resolution to this? I am having the same problem. We are using Developer 2000 forms (forms 5.0 runtime) on a Win 2K box and Adobe 5.0. When saving to PDF we get 'PDE-PER001 Inernal error (REP-3335: Unhandled Internal CA Error depep2). This works fine for those folks still on NT and...
Maybe I should look into that for the future, but I am not familiar with PERL. At least I have coded some PL/SQL packages (though it's been awhile), so I am fairly comfortable with it.
Thanks!!
Hi Aryeh,
Yes I am familiar with that. I created a sllldr job that runs in a nightly batch, but this requires data manipulation of the flat file data. I will be SELECTING from other tables to get new data values on certain fields.
Thanks!
Well, I am somewhat familiar with PL/SQL, but still at what I wold consider slightly better than a beginner. I found some info on UTL_FILE< and it seems that's what I am looking for. PL/SQL does not seem to contain the ability to create a record layout and then refer to fields. It seems to...
Hi,
Is this a good forum for discussing PL/SQL? I used to belong to orafans, but they seem to have disappeared. I need some fairly detailed info regarding processing a flat file in PL/SQL...
Thanks!
That's a good question, but she said they were saved as normal JPEG files, and now she cannot find any of them. It's weird. I can ask about the software, but she said she used to see them as individual files under My Pictures, when she tries to get to My Documents under E (the old C), that is...
Yup - I'm sure. It says the folder has been removed or replaced, which is why she began searching both drives. It's like Windows originally saw 2 C drives (current win2k - primary master) and the old drive (primary slave) upon bootup, changed the old drive to drive E, but did something to that...
Hi all,
A strange thing happened. I installed a Cd Burner and a new HD for a relative, along with Windows 2000. their old HD was running Win98 and was out of room (tiny little 4.3G), ANyway, I disconnected the old drive, installed the OS, adjusted a few settings, ensured all was working, than...
Hi,
Thanks! That may be it. I am not sure why Windows would not automatically update the path, but I asked an MCSE here at work, and he said it is probably just a path issue. I will check it out tonight.
Thanks!
Sorry - I guess I didn't mention that I already tried disabling Norton Personal Firewall, closing Goback, and even disabling Norton Anti-virus. Nothing made any difference. I can see no reason for ping to not work, but it doesn;t. According to windows IP is installed and working correctly with...
Hi all.
I am try6ing to install SAP MiniSAP on my Win2k Pro desktop. A relatively clean install with SP3, Goback, Norton SYstem Works and Firewall. I have a speedstream router which allows all 3 PCs in the office to access the Cox broadband connection. All works well. The error I get when I try...

Hi,
I may have found the solution. I went into Forms compiler, and converted them. It was difficult with the form that had a menu that called different reports. I had to convert the reports, then add the menu to the menu object within the main form, then upgrade them both thru Forms compiler...
Hey SEM,
What do you mean manually create shortcuts for each type of runtime? Do you mean create a desktop shortcut for the runtime itself or for the app. I dragged/created a shortcut of each app to the desktop. However, the only way I can open each form with its runtime each time it opens is to...
