    Interupt the boot process at the 10 sec break. When the menu comes up enter SEARCH to see if you have a boot device. I've seen this problem before and it wasn't hardware related, in my case just a VERY bad user messing with the system. Had to kill him <GRIN>!!!!

    If I remember correctly that command only affects the netconf file, you MUST have the IP address and host name of the workstation in the /etc/hosts file for the CDE to start. The fastest way is as Clare suggests reboot to single user mode, mount -a, and vi edit the /etc/hosts file.

    We are useing the external SureStore drives on our C360s and they work fine right out of the box. Ours came with the FWSCSI adapter cable, but works it ok when I use an old SESCSI cable. As always check the switch settings for your machine.

    We use Hummingbird's EXCEED package. Its ok, we use it in a teaching and operational enviroments. Once its up and running you get the CDE on your NT desktop and it will look and act like a UX machine.
