Yes 5 physical servers each with 3 NICs - 2 Teamed for the primary and 1 for backup. The Primary network is seperated from the Commserve/Media Agents by the ISA servers and the Backup network has direct access to the Commserve/Media Agents, but the issue is how to get the virtual cluster address...
Hi
We are trying to configure our Exchange cluster backups to use a seperate backup network. The complications are that this is a 5 node Exchange cluster with 3 virtual nodes. It also sits behind a pair of ISA servers(security gateway/firewall). Each Exchange server has its own backup network...
I have been testing out the procedure to carry out the move and rename - and it seems the best way for me was to build a new windows server of the same name as the original unix server, copy in the res, and indexes and import(nsrmmdbasm -s to export and -r to import) in mm and then follow EMC's...
The media database is fine - I used the nsrmmdbasm -s to export and -r to import and it works a treat. The issue is the client index and the fact that you are unable to perform nsrck -L7 as it still believes the indexes belong to the original server name.
I am trying to move from a UNIX NetWorker backup server to a Windows based backup server, but still keep the configuration, indexes and media database. I would also like the old server to remain as a client of the new, and therefore a new name assigned to the Windows server.
I have managed to...

The links between sites will not allow a restore and backup from the alternate Commcell.
I will look into the qoperation command.
Thanks

However with the extended rules there is a possibilty that the end of month backup...
OK I can see that you can select "Full" as the citeria in the Vaultracker policy and if the tapes are set to full upon completion of their backup then they will be exported, but surely that will then select all tapes that are full, its not specific enough!
If I carry out the export of tapes via...
I am trying to configure Vaultracker, but I cannot see that the criteria that can be set helps very much, ideally we want to have all of the media used over the weekend from Friday through to Monday morning exported out to the mail slots in the library. The criteria options given are for media...
We have a remote site with a Media Agent installed. The remote site clients backup to a local maglib on this Media Agent and then the idea is to Aux copy between the remote site back to a central location, where data is moved to tape. We are going to perform Synthetic image block level backups...
