The Cisco 5-day CWENT course is pretty good since it covers most of what you need in LMS and RWAN.
However, it's a real page-flicker and goes at high speed, so expect to have to re-read your notes a few times to digest everything.
Not cheap!
Seen this on a laptop where the 3662 would boot OK without the console cable attached, but dropped to ROMMON occasinally when the cable was plugged in. I guessed it was something to do with the laptop/terminal program issuing a BREAK for some reason in response to the 3600 boot sequence.

Hi,
Built a few CW2k systems on various platforms and the best recommendation I can offer is RTFM...then RTFM again...then check what you've got with what the manual says.
Don't install ANY SP's other than those listed in the release notes and certainly don't install any security fixes early...
Passed the 9e0-300 exam a couple of weeks ago. There's no published material other than the course notes and CCO.
I'd suggest reading the course notes a couple of times, plus the data sheets for NAM, LMS, RWAN, VMS (make note of what comes with VMS and what the bits are) and ITEM.
The exam is...
Hi,
Have two Win2k NNMs (6.2 & 6.4) on two seperate networks. Both sets of maps seem OK apart from some maps where there are hundreds of 'Segment xxx' objects.
These appear to be due to NNM thinking that every switch port is a seperate segment..which I suppose it is in bridging terms... but...
Have a look at the "CiscoWorks in Large-Scale Network Environments" doc on CCO. See :-- http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/wr2k/prodlit/ckspp_wp.htm for details of how Cisco say it *should* be scoped, and err on the side of caution.
Have done a similar sized system (initially...
CiscoWorks 2000 (CW2k) won't easily integrate with WhatsUp Gold (WUG), even though the cut-down CW2k SNMS package DOES!
I'll be asking Cisco to provide details of how to integrate the two (much the same as OpenView NNM, Tivoli NetView, Spectrum etc. can be) and if I get a decent response I'll...
If you want different icons in NNM, then you'll need the Cisco NMIDB (Net Man Integration Data Bundle) and the NNMAdapter.jar files from Cisco's web site. I'm not sure if you require login access or if these are public.
They're used to create a bridge between NNM and CW2k so that both products...
