The RPT files are stored individually on each workstation within self created folders.
All they are trying to do is use the viewer program to bring up their RPT reports.
No shared location
Any clues?
All my users when required will use Crystal V7 to view their RPT files from Agresso.
Unfortunately I have to open the application first before searching for my saved RPT files.
When I locate my RPT file it comes up with a run time error and will not display my report, this happens on all...

I am looking to create a contact entry that will appear in the mailbox profile of 10 users.
This contact list will over time contain a list of external contacts and when clicked upon will display the contacts on the right hand side.
I have been asked to do this recently but cannot find a way of...
Thanks Guys, you were both right, a brief network disconnection of one of the users whilst he was still in the file caused the problem.
Also I found a relevant article on the microsft support link above that sheds a lot of light on the subject
Many Thanks
Got a strange one here:
I have a folder of excel files on the server that still claim to be edited and open by other network users, this is not the case.
Any ideas why the "sharing workbook" section shows 3 or 4 people still in the files
Becoming a problem as these files are timesheet...
I am looking essentially to set-up a home network obviously with the 3 PC's in different rooms.
They will then interface with the W2K server via Active Directory and be able to utilise ICS.
I will setting up a printer via local LPT on the server and sharing it to all clients too.
Do you think a...
These are the kind of constructive comments I need, thanks Whoheard.
I will use the static IP address for the server and perhaps start the DHCP scope at around 10.160.10.5 to 10.160.10.50
I would guess the reason for this is that the address alwayts needs to be the smae for the server?
The...
Yep seems like that is the case.
The additional files that were required following the initial iesetup.exe were not very reliable from the only FTP source I could see which was North America.
I seem to remember other similar updates in the past offering a wider supply choice.
I am thinking of implementing a home network from scratch using the following:
1)W2k server
2)3 connected W2k PC's via kingston hub
3)Provide ICS from main server to clients
My assumptions would be the following and please correct me if I am wrong:
Name - Data1
Server IP - 10.160.10.1
Subnet...
No probs, this seems to only stretch to 95/98/NT
We are running W2K clients.
I appreciate your responses guys, you were not to know that i was running W2K
Unfortunately this points me back to the initial 5.5 400kb set-up file again.
I need the whole IE5.5 Service pack update and not the link to the North American FTP site.
I am utilising the child form to obtain data from a field within a recordset of a table with the use of a drop down combobox. This field could be a different field each time, thus the combobox could be loaded with differing field information each time.
I am encountering two problems:
1) When...
I am currently writing a database application program, where I am using a drop down Combobox as a central reference to obtain information from three differing tables and several fields from a number of recordsets within each table.
I have a problem where, upon runtime, I can use the combo to...
Cheers M8...worked a treat although SYS volume was a little temperamental and still claims it has 4.7Gb purgeable space.
Managed to free 10.3 gb on all volumes
Having checked the volumes on my server I have discovered thatthere is a lot of purgeable space that I can reclaim.
Unfortunately I am unable to find where this is!!!
I have gone through all of the directories within the volume and actually reclaimed a certain amount but there seems to be a...
