    Door entry

DT3 handsets won't work on an ip500? The door release code is programmed into the door-phone unit, not the ip office. All you need is a POT extn for the door unit and set it up to ring a hunt group or another extn.

    Upgrading 1608 IP Phone

The 16xx series phones use HTTP or HTTPS unlike the 56xx series that use TFTP, so if you know how to setup MV_IPTel then that's the best way to upgrade these handsets. 4.2.17 has a few fixes for these handsets.

    Embedded Voicemail

I've always wanted to know what would happen if i purchased a reasonable sized CF card and loaded the VM Prompts onto it - would it work or have Avaya made it so that you have to purchase their Embedded VM option for it to work? What is the difference in their CF card to one i could purchase for...

The easiest way to do it is to adjust the ? . Dial shortcode to look like this: ? .Sxxxxxxxxxxx (where x is valid no on circuit) Dial 0 (line group) This will force out the specified no with all outbound calls. If you want to just nail it down to specific users, just put the same shortcode in...
