Does anyone know if a PSU from an IP500 v1 is the same as one from an IP500 v2?

Yes they are the same, sort of. The V2 is more reliable than the V1, but the pinout is the same.

Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*

I always swap the power supply in a 500V1 for a 500V2 power supply.
