3 extensions just show "Phone" and don't register this morning - reboot didn't help

So, the result here was that I had to delete the extensions and recreate them.

3 extensions just show "Phone" and don't register this morning - reboot didn't help

This morning, I got reports that some users couldn't register correctly. They are remote using 9608 phones and IPSec VPN. It was originally two, but after rebooting the phone server, it is now 3. I can see the H323 registration requests but it never succeeds. Below is what is in the H323 log in...

Setting up new SIP trunk service and can't make calls

janni78, we tried with and without SIP ALG and could not get it to work. It is an SRX240. Either way, it is irrelevant now. Stephen

Setting up new SIP trunk service and can't make calls

Unfortunately, it did mean what you thought it meant IPGuru. Lets just say we don't use the vendor that set up that configuration for our IPO services any more. It isn't configured that way any more however. We were never able to get NAT to work through the Juniper. We moved the new carrier to...

Setting up new SIP trunk service and can't make calls

Concise back story: Currently running sip service provided by Integra from a Metaswitch configured on LAN2 directly connected to Provider. Switching to new SIP provider who also uses Metaswitch. Integra is set up as Line 17 and works fine. We are setting up the new service as Line 18 via LAN1...

Migrate 1x Portal from Windows to Linux

I'm now closer to implementing this and came across a new question for which I would like some experienced clarification. The documentation makes it clear that a single one-x server can serve multiple IPO servers. However, in preparing the new Application Server, it seems I need to configure it...

    Patches for Linux Application Server??

So, I guess I'm not clear on what you would recommend. Update all my current components and then migrate to the Application Server? Is it possible to migrate my configurations to a 9.1.7 Application server and then upgrade the IPO from the 9.1.7 Manager? Oh, and sorry for my ignorance but what...

    Patches for Linux Application Server??

I've set up the Linux based Avaya Application server for my IPO install and am wanting to migrate my Applications from the current Windows install. However, the App Server I found on Avaya's website is version 9.1.0 and we are currently running 9.1.1. I want to get transitioned to the app server...

Migrate 1x Portal from Windows to Linux

Thank you for the direction. I haven't found a license requirement for the application server. Is it free to use (obviously many of the features are already licensed in IPO).

Migrate 1x Portal from Windows to Linux

Hello, When our IP Office system was deployed by the VAR, it was set up with 1x Portal, VMPro and Xima Chronicall all running on one VM. For various reasons we would like to split these up. I have heard(and I'd like to hear opinions here) that running 1x on Linux is becoming the preferred...

    Suggestions on an SBC

We have a single SIP provider one our IP Office 500V2 running 8.1. Our connection to them is publicly routable and while we have not been hacked, we are probed constantly. So, I began looking into an SBC. The VAR that set up our system originally wants $9-$12K to install either an Avaya SBC or a...

SIP Gateway recommendation for IP Office

mforrence. Thank you for the reply. In my own research it looks as though my best option may be to do TDMoIP so that is the direction I am researching. Thanks

SIP Gateway recommendation for IP Office

We recently moved our phone operations to a Datacenter, switched to IP Office, got a new carrier and new number(because our old wouldn't port). There is now a significant distance between our old PRI (and phone number) and our new system. I have just been forwarding the old number through our...

    Remote VPN Phones restart randomely

JayNEC, what would you recommend adjusting them too? Stephen

    Looking for a feature

Thank you. It looks like those are the pointers I need. We are running 1608 and 9608 phones so we should be good. Stephen

    Looking for a feature

Hmmm, if you choose transfer, I was not aware of a way to choose for it to go directly to their voicemail. This would be no matter what, even if they are available and off the phone. Expound on the shortcode option. I spent some time there trying to figure out a way to do it before posting here...

    Looking for a feature

One of the biggest complaints about our IPO 8.1 system is the inability to send a live call directly to another user's voicemail. This should be possible in One-X Portal but is a glaring oversight in my opinion. Also the ability to forward voicemail from One-X to another user is missing. I am...

    Remote VPN Phones restart randomely

We have a few remote workers that use 9608 phones. They are VPN'd to a Juniper SSG20. We are on IPO 8.1. They are having issue with random reboots on the phones. It even happens in the middle of calls. Is anyone familiar with this type of problem? It is happening way too frequently. Thanks, Stephen

Strange log entries and unexplained reboot

IPGuru, Duly noted. I think I will harass the VAR that installed it that way. They installed the firewall at that location at the same time and engineered the network. I think they were just following the integration docs provided by the carrier. Stephen
