My file server is Win 2003 R2
VSS is enabled on the data drive with a maximum of 50Gb set aside for VSS.
At random times all of the Shadow Copies vanish. I've searched the event logs but nothing is...
Thanks.

With the help of this forum, and a lot of research, a couple of years ago I setup our local domain: ewalters.co.uk, and as a child of the forest I set up our Bulgarian office: ewalters.bg, connected by a VPN.
Sadly our company has been into administration (and even more sadly, come out again)...
Try downloading the updates from the symantec site - this updated the java runtime for me. I have never tried installing anything on the firewall directly!

All good ideas thanks, problem is I know nothing about java!
The server was a clean install of windows 2003 so had no java on it at all.
The only software on it is the firewall , which included the java install.

Thanks, but it is the version of java installed with the firewall so must be the right one.
I have tried other versions, but it did not help.

Sorry - forgot to mention, there is a web server running on this firewall that runs the symantec console.
The error happens after I enter username/password.
The applet starts to load then I get the above error.

I have a Symantec Enterprise Firewall version 8, have used previous versions for 4 years with no real problems, but they have now decided to put a JAVA based front end on it.
The java keeps erroring and even...

I have set up two AD domains in two countries (.co.uk & .sk)- win2k Ex2k.
Due to lack of training / ignorance I made them in two forests.
We have a VPN between the two domains.
I understand that I can't make a single exchange organisation because of this, but have been told I can setup some sort...
brontosaurus -
that's interesting, I have never put more than 1gb in my exchange servers because of the MS advice.
Did you have any of the mentioned problems ?

Don't even bother to use OWA over the internet unless you have another exchange server in a DMZ.
Just take a look at the traffic passing between your exchange server and the the rest of your domain.
Also, I found out (a bit late) that you need Exchange Enterprise edition if you want an OWA...
