I'm not sure if this is the right forum so I'm going to post this in a couple of places. Apologies for the duplication.

I've had to do this during DR testing and used the metadata cleanup process.
I don't know if it's different in W2K to 2003 but try the one that wdoellefeld recommends in the link to KB article 216498 above.
It was pretty straightforward and I have seen no errors after performing this in...
Thanks for all your tips. I guess I just want to be absolutely sure if I rename the account or change the primary email address that nothing bad will happen: eg, mail stops being sent or received, or the old email address stops working completely!
Any pitfalls I should watch out for? And...
That sounds a bit odd. You should be able to see a list of backup jobs in your job status screen. When you click modify on those jobs you should see a list of all the servers, directories, files, databases etc that are being backed up.
If the only jobs that are listed are prune jobs then it...
The prune job isn't an actual backup, it's something that runs to reduce the size of the Arcserve database. It doesn't use a tape so it won't pop one out after it's done. It just changes the size of the database on the server.
Is that the only job set up on the server? If so, you don't need to...
Just to clarify, do you mean that the tape doesn't pop out after the job is complete? (Sorry, my brain doesn't kick in until Tuesdays usually... not very focused today :-))
If so, open the job status on the server where the tape isn't popping out. Highlight the job and click modify. Click...
I'm assuming 2 things:
- You're talking about Arc Serve
- You know which tape your backup is on.
Go to Device and click the tape drive you are using in the left pane. In the right pane, the tape that's currently in the drive should be displayed.
When you click on this the properties...
Hi,
I have a similar situation in my office. If you add a second email address in AD, when the user sends mail, what will appear as the "from" address? The original email or the second address?
Thanks!
Mia

This is a strange one.
I have a few users running Outlook 2003 and when they print emails, the first letter on every second line is missing. I can't figure it out at all......
I fit was just one user it would be ok but it's happening to a few of them.
I don't even know where to start.... any...
I find yelling like a maniac at a user in front of everyone in the office when they do something stupid has the desired effect....
Just kidding.. but how tempting... :-)
Good call. I had the same config then I added in a 2003 server and tried to install exchange 2000. Discovered at that point that 2003 AD was needed to run Exchange 2000 on a 2003 server. All very complicated.....
Good luck,
Mia
Yes it can be done only if your domain controller and Active Directory are windows 2003. You pretty much need an entire 2003 environment to avoid problems.
Hi,
Odd problem for you all.....
One of my servers seems to be deciding to share out it CD ROM drive. I unshare it but the next morning it's shared again.....
Full virus scan completed with nothing found.
It's not causing any issues but I'm just wonderng why it's happening....
Any thoughts?
