Hey AlfSutherland
We are having the same issue with sniffers ruinning 4.30.525. I checked the agent and console versions. They match. I read in your last post that you might have other suggestions of what might be causing these errors. The agent is running on P4 2.0ghz with 1 gig of ram.

Bob,
We at the moment have 60 8600's deployed in our campus and are utilizing them in many ways (Core, Edge and Access switches running 3.5 code. At the moment we are deploying DWDM right to our core 8600's and its been a great success.
I have to agree with everyone on this post the 8600 is...

We were experiencing the same error on a 8600 running 3.5.0 code. We performed every hardware/software test possible. We then opened a ticket with Nortel's customer support. They stated that it is normal to receive those messages occasionally. Don’t quote me on this, but I believe they...
Chazk1,
A whole bunch of questions there. Let me see if I can understand what you are trying to do. You are trying to extend your user vlans to your nortel's 450 switches.
First you need to create the same vlan ID on the 450 that you have on the cisco switch.
second how are you going to...
The latest code for the passport is up to 3.5.1 why are you considering 3.3.3. We have been running 3.2.2 for about a year and experience a few bugs. We are planning to upgrade to 3.5. A few bugs we are experiencing are fixed in the 3.5 family of code

Well we are also seeing this errors. Four 8600's running 3.2 code.
Nortel does know this issue since they have recommended to us to upgrade code to atleast 3.3
Planning to upgrade to 3.4 soon

Mavvy,
Upgrading is your only solution if you wish to use Optivity 9.2. I would give your Nortel service Rep. a call so he can point you in the right direction. 3.3 code would probably do just fine, but you never know what enhancments the have added to 3.3.0 or above. Good luck

jimbo01,
First do you have Speedview? if yes? great makes it a whole lot easier
On the C100 you need to create a packet filter pointing to the port your sniffer is attached too.
You will then to apply the filter onto the port you would like to mirror.

Hi Duane,
Using Device Manager 5.5.3.0. Tab on top called Qos/COPS. There you would find all the Info you would need to verify Qos on the BPS's.
Hope this helps...
