When I send a message to a distribution group that I belong to I get a copy of the message. Is there a way to make this stop? I don't need to see what I just wrote.

I have one Windows 2000 Pro machine that for some reason has downloaded KB837009 and the user is being alerted to install this Windows Update.
If the Windows Update prompt is acted upon, the installation says it's successful and then after a few minutes the globe reminder will come back saying...
Just to clarify - I'm looking for outbound access only.
I cannot figure out if I need static or nat, but if you think it's an access list, then yes, please provide me with an example. I don't have specific information handy - it's at work.
Thanks!
I have a SQL Server machine that is not able to access the internet. Obviously I would like to keep this machine hidden, but would like to be able to get to the MS site for Windows updates, etc.
Should this machine have the ability to connect to the internet for downloads? If so - I can't...
Thanks for the replies.
Yes - sending and receiving would have to be possible for all domains. We own mulitple domains that are used for emailing purposes, but only have one network domain configured.
if this is possible, Exchange configuration assistance is requested.
Thanks.
Can Exchange 2003 support emails for domains that are not AD domains? For example, my AD domain may be "mycompany.com" so I'll have dave@mycompany.com. But I'd also like to have dave@testcompany.com or dave@othercompany.com.
I also must be able to send emails from those emails addresses.

Also look into Beyond Compare 2. This program is awesome. Can be used with the GUI or via script. I run it nightly on several machines to do compares and copy's. You can try it at: http://www.scootersoftware.com/
Check ServersAlive: http://www.woodstone.nu/salive/. It can be locally or remotely. It's free for monitoring up to 10 devices. Over 10 you'll have to get a license.
We have acquired enough equipment that we have decided to move our primary production equipment to a data center and leave a secondary/redundant set of equipment in our office. Because of the move the network is changing substantially and I am in need of assistance.

I started with Exchange 5.5 on a DC (DC-1). A second DC exists - DC-2. A new box was purchased (Exch) and I followed appropriate instructions to install Exchange 2003, move data from 5.5 to 2003, etc. Exchange is running fine, but I do have a questions:
- If DC-2 is rebooted, Outlook...

Thanks MoobyCow.
Yes, it was a DNS issue. I was kicked in the rear and was shown my error. It was on the Delivery tab - Advanced. I didn't change the external IP address.
Thanks again.
