Timer with event handler - tough one!!!!!!

Thanks Chip. I figured it out. The it had to do with the event handler. Breaking the line up would have helped me, and I'll do that in the future, so I'll give you a vote :)

Timer with event handler - tough one!!!!!!

I wish that had something to do with it, but if I move that the code outside the ServerTimerElapsed sub, then it works fine. Only when the event is triggered by an event handler that fires on a timer does it not work. It's almost like it's missing a DLL or something...

Timer with event handler - tough one!!!!!!

Here's an overview. I want a sub called "ServerTimerElapsed" to run every 30 seconds. To do this, I'm using an event handler that triggers the above sub. The event handler works, and the sub runs. However, when it does run, it stops at the third line (dim stream...) and stops cold! No error...

    Server "Not accepting connections"

In the Citrix Management Console, expand the applications folder. Right click the published application, and hit Properties. Click the users tab. This is like a standard Windows ACL. Put the group/users you want to have access to this app here. Just for testing - DON'T LEAVE IT LIKE THIS FOR...

Network Problem: NIC: No packets in , No packets out

Another thing to check is if the connection is enabled. Seeing as you are running a poweredge server, you probably have two NICs. Is the right one plugged in, configured, and enabled? To enable, in network connections, right click and read the options. Look for either an'Enable' or 'Disable'...

Network Problem: NIC: No packets in , No packets out

I'm not familiar with 2003 server, so check this out. I thought it had a built-in firewall because XP does. This link gives directions...

Network Problem: NIC: No packets in , No packets out

I'm thinking it's something simple. We know the card works because it worked in safemode, and the driver is installed as well. Firewall? Is it turned off? Network settings? Correct subnet mask, DNS settings, and all?

    Linux ICA Client printer issue.

I've just installed Redhat 9 on my PC at work - I replaced mandrake 9.2 because I thought it might be causing the problem. We have a network of about 80 PC's. They all run Windows 2000 - except for my test box which I put redhat on. They connect to a Citrix Metaframe XPe farm that runs Windows...

    Web Based Outlook Security Issue

We're running Exchange 2k with the latest service pack. The issue is that, and this is only on a our Windows XP machines, whenever someone ends a web based outlook session by logging out or just closing IE, the server doesn't ask for a username or password when a user goes back to check mail -...

pcAnywhere: Win2000 connects; XP does not

I use version 10.0.2 with no problems on XP. IP address and computer name won't have anything to do with it as long as they're both unique on your network. One thing that comes to mind is the XP firewall. Tried turning it off? Another thing, try turning off whatever type of virus scanner you...

    Nfuse with SSL

We need to get a app out to our customers, and we want to do it with 128bit SSL encryption. Here's the deal; I've never used that before. What could ya'll tell me about this? Can you point me to a PDF somewhere? I could use anything you've got on securing Nfuse.

    ISP blocked ports

I'm not tell you to hack it or anything, but if they leave the common ports open, try ports 25 and 115. If you're running a mail service on that computer, try 20 and 21. See what those does for ya'.
