    Frame Relay Discard Eligible Packets

Any frame relay application I have ever run (and to be quiet honest, I haven't done too much of it), I have had the option of setting the DE buffer to a longer time interval to make sure all the packets make it out of the buffer before they are discarded. Is this a point to point or multiplexed...

    low volume on T1's

Steph4pbx has the right idea I think. I know that in the Nortel world you can pad down a T1 signal. I too am not familiar with your system but a lot of units come with a -3db as default.

Curlycord, Thanks a lot. That is exactly what I wanted. I think I will give you a star as well......

    Sharing a telephone line?

Do you have access to a 66 block and an octopus connector? You could bridge lines in the 66 block and then use the octopus cords into each jack. It might be good to use a V-1 Viking bridge lifter so the line share doesn't knock people off when someone else has the line.

    66 Block tutorials

What is this "son" stuff? I , for the record, am 46 and one of the last of the true "Bell Shaped Heads." I started with what was "Mountain Bell" in 1978. 66 blocks were a way of life then, and I spent my first 4 months out in the field doing nothing but punching...

    RJ?

Below was copied and pasted directly from a technical manual I found on the net. ENJOY! The Universal Service Ordering Code (USOC) system was developed by the Bell System and introduced by AT&T® in the 1970s to connect customer premises equipment to the public network. These codes, adopted in...

    66 Block tutorials

HEY GUYS Really, I promise I wasn't trying to start ANYTHING, but it kind of took on a life of it's own. If you read my original text you will see I was looking for illustrations only. As it has been noted here, 66s won't go away any time soon because there are still a lot of people that...

    Modular 8 Pin Connectors

I am needing a mechanical drawing that shows WHY we use solid conductor modular ends on solid wire and why we use stranded modular connectors on stranded wire. I KNOW WHY, but I need some sort of illustration that is real professional looking to help me illustrate the point to students. I have...

    66 Block tutorials

Even though I don't prefer 66 blocks, they will not go away any time soon. They are CHEAP, a big factor with most vendors, reusable, and because there are so many I don't think we will ever see the end of them. One big advantage is you can get them in 25x4, 50x2, 25x6 and 50x3 configurations...

    message notification norstar 7310

If my memory serves me properly, it is in the Feature 983 menu. I will take the time to look at my old tech stuff and try to find it. What is the software level in your vm? Is it Startalk Flash or the big NAM?

    66 Block tutorials

I can see the logic in both view points. 66 blocks are cheap, reliable, and they are EVERYWHERE! 110 is not idiot proof, nor is it idiot resistant! 66 blocks are ALMOST idiot resistant even though I have seen people that can break them too. 110 blocks do take up a lot less room, and if you are...

    66 Block tutorials

I have used BIX, 66, and 110 blocks in the past. 66 blocks are used mostly in existing plant where most buildings have left in cable and blocks. I like 110 blocks but if not used properly they can be trouble. I like 110 better then BIX because it seems more ergonomical but other then that the...

    25 pin pinout for Toshiba...

This might be similar to a Nortel where the interface used is a secured one and contains an access code chip. If so you will not be able to duplicate it.

    Option 61c IP address Change

Is this system running through you LAN for system access, or are you direct connecting to the ELAN link? If it is in you LAN, are you using a bridge, router, or a PC running a routing table?

MultiSite Phone System over Wireless Bridge

We went wireless on an BIA phone system in Montana that was about 300' line of sight. We were a Nortel dealer and used a Norstar Key System with Baystack equipment for data. It worked very well and we had no trouble while I was there. I am sorry but I don't remember the manufacturer of the radio...

    66 Block tutorials

I eventually had to take pictures to illustrate what I needed, but I did find and modified a couple of things to assist me. If you know anyone who needs a copy of these or want to save them for future use, email me at <william.downs@IGT.com> and I will send them to you. THANKS!

    66 Block tutorials

I am looking for photos on the web that can accompany instructional text i have written concerning the termination of wiring on 66 blocks. This is for people who have never done this before so I need REAL BASIC stuff and illustrations. Does anyone have any links and/or existing photos that can...
