madwok - Thanks. I guess one of my real questions is should I learn telecom first before getting into Cisco, or just start doing Cisco and learn telecom as I go. I have been thinking about getting the 3 books set from Teracom Training on telecom before diving into Cisco.
cwc3 - I dont recall...
POTS can come into play in VoIP. All of our routers at our bank branches have FXO cards in them that have POTS going into them. But that is not why I said that. I mentioned that, just because I said I want to start from square one and work up. Alot of guys that want to learn about telcom...
I have been doing IT for the last 12 years and I am sick and burnt out on it. I have worked for a bank that last 8 that uses Cisco IP Telephony and I am one of the very few IT guys that know anything about telcom at all. I want to jump ship to VoIP. I been looking on whether to go...
I am one of these IT Geeks and I am looking to jump ship into the telcom world. I dont have a good knowledge of telcom right now, but I have more than most of the IT guys I work work with. Can anybody point me in a direction for some study guides, publications or whatever to give me a good...

There's no need to freak out. Even if they dont get back for 7 days and it expires, the next they log in and put their password, it will just say that it has expired and you are forced to change it then. Its not going to toally lock it out like you would see when too many bad password...
ok, this is for the real microsoft gurus......I have a client that has a small 8 system network. They just recently bought 3 new HP/Compaq dc5000mt systems with Windows XP Pro w/ SP2 (original OEM load) on NTFS. They have turned one of the new systems into a "pseudo server"...
