i found a copy of autoexec.nt on c:\windows\repair.
i copied into c:\windows\system32 and works.
any comment?

1. first hard disk: c:\ cca. 30 GB with win xp pro up-to-date , rest d:\ cca. 90 GB for my data
2. second hard disk: e:\ cca. 120 GB with paging file and my data
3. cpu p4 2.4 GHz and 1 GB of RAM
4. virtual memory custom size e:\ size 1.000-1.500 MB

a little misunderstanding. I have as you suggest c:\windows (win xpp, registry etc.) and d:\program files (office xp, delphi, etc.). so far so good: every think ok & work perfect.
I format c: and install win xpp from scratch. disk d: is intact !
how can I use my word on d: without...

outlook, part of office, store everything in file with extension pst.
you can create as many as you need pst files. when you start outlook (only one) you can see and use all these pst files under your long and something meaning names.
with normal move or ''rules'' you organizer your work.
