I have a number of folders that end in _ENU that exist on my Windows2003 Standard Server under the c:\windows folder. For instance, SQL9_KB932557_ENU and OLAP9_KB960089_ENU. They are older folders and am assuming from some update done in the past.
Are these safe to delete?
TIA
Responses I received on other forums indicated this was an issue common to pptp connections having to do with the NAT service not being able to track the connections.
I was able to set up a MUVPN connection with the Watchguard client and successfully connect multiple simultaneous users.
Each user at the remote office can connect to our Watchguard vpn using pptp setup on Windows networking. BUT, if one is connected and a second one tries to connect, they get an 'Error 721 - Remote computer did not respond' message.
Where is the problem? Can it be done? Will Watchguard MUVPN...
Thanks hemps37. I have staggered the job start times, but that doesn't control when the migration starts. I just found the setting where you can specify the time the migration starts. So I'm trying that.
AS 11.5 sp4. I have two staged jobs that run at the same time as a job that runs direct to tape. When the direct to tape job finishes, the data migration faze of the staged jobs kicks off and starts to copy to tape. In the past, one job would run and the other job would wait until the tape...

During backup of a remote server, the remote server shows the univagent.exe process is using anywhere from 60 to 85% of the CPU cycles. The remote server is a Windows 2000 SP4 fully patched, running Brightstor client agent 11.5. Backup server is Windows2003 with same B'store version.
Has any...
This may be a little late, but the method you would need to use is the Brightstor command line function called 'tapecopy'.
As an example, to Append all multistreaming sessions from a given destination group (example=GROUP1) and master job ID (example=232)to a tape named 'mytape' and destination...
Thanks vschumpy - in the end I gave up and installed the agent directly on the linux (ubuntu) box. It seems to be working fine, except for alot of files it can't access because they're in use at the time.
I'm trying to do a remote install of the Linux client from the Brightstor for Windows 11.5 CD.
When it asks for the logon information of the remote computer, I enter the root user equivalent username and password. I then get an error message stating: " User must have Administrator privileges...
Thanks tboege. In my case, this is the only AIX server I have. So I would do a backup of each LV to tape? I'm familiar with using find and piping to backup, and I know there are couple of instances of backup in smit. Can you help with detailed backup instructions? If it matters, this is AIX...
I recently upgraded my mirrored disks from 9 to 18GB. When I tried to copy files greater than 2GB I discovered the original file systems set up in the VG weren't set for Large File Enabled.
Reading other threads, it looks like I need to remove the filesystems from the disk and recreate them...
I'm backing up several servers with BAB r11.1 build 3060. The job completes but shows as Failed. When I look through the activity log, or the job log, it doesn't show any errors and it looks like all the requested servers/drives/folders/files are succesfully back up. At the very end of the...
To clean a database and start over with an empty one, go to Start/Programs/computer associates/Brightstor/Arcserve Backup/Server Admin. In the window that opens, select the Database tab, then click Operation on the Tool Bar and select Initialize Database. Choose the database(s) you want to...
The way I set it up was on a separate HTTPS service with incoming allowed from ANY and TO public-firewall-address natted to internal Exchange server address (12.x.x.x->10.x.x.x) Outgoing ANY to ANY.

I've used Watchguard devices at two different companies, over 7 years time, and various models (Firebox II, Firebox 1000, SOHO6tc). I think they're great. I find it easy to install and configure, and changes are a snap. I also use their Spamscreen, which is a very basic anti-spam add-on. I've...
We're at 4.3.3.0. Vi itself works OK, but I still get that error when running vi -r. I've now deleted the ExaaaPID files that existed, and I guess will just keep a watch on them.
Thanks again for your help.
Thanks Queen. I ran the vi -r command, and it said there were no files. So, I assume we must have something else creating the files, since there are a couple of dozen in the directory. Also, now when I run the vi -r command I get 'Segmentation fault(coredump)' . Any idea what's going on there???
