Can you post a SIP trace from the CS1000?
Note: I would remove the cdp.udp in the phone context.

I am assuming that you have ran a report on the station in question within CCMS... Does it show a call for 5hrs? I am guesing it does not. I am not familiar with NICE recording equipment but... I would suspect that the recording equipment did not receive a stop control signal. I would look at...
Multiple Possibilities... network possible (errors on spans)... config of systems (codec-payload)... What information do you receive from the system/s when the call disconnects?

There are 2 options... Simple = Attendant or Auto Attendant answer lines at each end or use site/location codes + dn dialing (automatic or manual). I have seen all three in operation. It all depends on what you and/or your customer want to support.

Oops I forgot to mention which manufacturer. They are from Audiocodes.

Ok kewl... :-) The guys/gals in this forum are correct. Until you isolate to the DMARC in basement its going to drive you nuts. No way of telling if its your premise wire or LEC and until you know this I would not spend any money replacing anything.

I would suggest one of the following...
MP114/2FXS/2FXO - 2 FXS Ports + 2 FXO Ports
MP118/4FXS/4FXO - 4 FXS Ports + 4 FXO Ports
One has 4 trunks (2 in each direction) and the other has 8 (4 in each direction). You will need one at each site. You will need the capacity in your PBX/Key systems...
It is a voice payload mismtach (90% chance). Between the BCM50 and Node. Check your settings in Element Manager and the BCM.
FYI: you may also experience faxing issues in the new version... it enables fax detect... should be off. Just an FYI. :-)

Ahhh.. You can use a couple different devices. If you expect a high number of calls then I would look at a T1/PRI integration to a local media gateway. I use either Net Systems VTX 1200 Gateway or Audio Codes Mediant 1000. The basic theory is... PBX/Key system to local gateway (TDM connection) -...
Maybe I should be clear on the question... Do they support VoIP? I am assuming they both are BCM's but do you have VoIP/SIP trunk authorization codes installed on them?
In case someone wants to be jokester in here.

A couple quick questions...
1- Number of phone at each site (used to calculate traffic - at least basic numbers for now)?
2- PBX's at each location-
- do they support VoIP Trunking?
- if not - do they support T1/PRI?
2- Does your existing data network support QoS?

I suggest looking up Unistim and STUN. You will see what I am talking about. The other item that I am curious about now is that you say in your last post that you have (2) NIC's and gatewasy set for each? Is this correct?

Ahh... So this is fun when dealing with Unistim. The problem is more than likely the reponder address of the RTP ports. Make sure both of your devices (that are controlling your NAT on either side) are set for CONE/Consistent NAT. Depending on what hardware/software you have depends on which...
In the BCM400 you cannot use blocA or blocB line pool as those are reserved for DTM's. Assign a line pool, none the less. Then assign a route that points to the line pool. Setup you Priavte Network dialing plan (how many digits and CDP/UDP). Use CDP if you are not going to use site codes and UDP...
Oops almost forgot to answer your question. Any training that you can utilize is good. I would agree that the focus should be more on UC/VoIP, Networking & Active Directory. You will need skills in these areas and they are a good foundation to have.

I cannot resist... I am your typical "Nortel" guy... and this is my edumucated opinion (yes I purposely misspelled it). I do believe that the BCM product will continue (makes money and outsells the IP Office 2 to 1) if they are thinking business - easy decision and they have hinted to this...
