    The old DBBACKUP pool issue

Thanks for the reply Bob. I searched the posts about this and found the thread that you linked to. I made the changes to available_media but these tapes are still showing as in dbbackup pool.

    The old DBBACKUP pool issue

Hopefully someone can help me! Last week I got all the media out of the dbbackup pool, except for the 2 catalog tapes. This week tho, is a different story. I know have over 400 tapes in the dbbackup pool. I think someone was working on the server while the available_media script was running...

    Which applications are installed

Hopefully someone can help me! I've inherited a Solaris server and am wondering what is the best way to find out which applications are installed on it. If you assume I have little or no Solaris/Unix experience, you wont be far wrong! Thanks

OK, so it wont cause a problem, it just wont work as well as it could? It'll be OK until I can get some pc3200 ram bought? Ross

    Socket 754 or 939 ?

Dual channel slots? Does that mean that my existing ddr ram (think it's pc2700) will not work on this board? I haven't budgeted for new RAM, dammit. I have 2 ddr chips, 1 x 256 (think it's Corsair) and 1 x 512 which was a cheap, non branded one.

    Socket 754 or 939 ?

Thanks for all the input guys! It's a 939 for me then! I've ordered an Athlon 64 3200 and an Asus A8V Deluxe, VIA K8T800Pro, mobo. Thanks again everyone! Ross

    Socket 754 or 939 ?

I'm planning on upgrading my PC to an Athlon 64, but am a little confused as to which socket to go for. Both CPU's are similiarly priced so not to choose from there! Does anyone have any pro's and con's for either? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks Ross

How do I get a form field to auto populate from a lookup table field

I'm trying to do the same thing, and am also new to Access. In my case, I have a table with ProdID and UnitPrice fields. In my form, Form1 (original, eh?) I have a combo box (combo2) which displays the values from the ProdID field, I'm trying to populate the text box (text4) field in the form...

    connecting webcamera using router

I have a simliar setup. I have set my Netgear ADSL router to forward any incoming http requests to port 4 on the router, which is where my webcam is connected to. My router registers with dynamic dns so whenever anyone access http://www.mypc.dymanicdns.org they get to see what my web cam sees.

    Cisco 2950 Question

I'm wondering if someone can answer a question for me, I'm sure it's fairly straight forward. I'm looking at upgrading my LAN, currently all Digital repeaters with a 10 meg FDDI backbone. A number of the fibre repeaters I have are configured with redundant/fail over ports. My question is, if...

    HP4000 with 2 JetDirect Cards?

Can anyone tell me if they have tried this? My requirement is to have 2 LANs on seperate IP address ranges and subnets print to the same printer. My thought was to insert a second JetDirect card and program it with a valid address for the second LAN - there is already a JetDirect card in the...

    Cisco 2600 Query

I've just reclaimed an old 2600 router which was going spare and have decided to have a play around. It only has Ethernet port on it. If I wanted to use it to connect 2 LANs, it is my understanding that I would need to buy an additional module for it, is that correct? I take it that I can't...

    Internet Explorer Registry Settings

Hopefully someone can help me!! We have recently added security to a folder on our intranet in a bid to capture the username of the person who submits a comment on our message board. The problem in that whenever some users attempt to access the message board, they get a pop-up box asking for a...

    Netgear DG834G Issue

My hard drive was flaking out so I've replaced it and it all seems to be working fine now, must've been related to the HD, not the router? Any hoo, it's going now!

    Netgear DG834G Issue

Please help, I bought a Netgear DG834 router/modem about a month ago to replace the Dabsvalue router/modem I previously had. I plugged it in, set it up and bingo, up and running in about 5 minutes. The thing has been running fine ever since, not a single problem, until now..... Last night, I...

    Local Intranet Zone Missing

I've tried the various registry tweaks mentioned in the MS article, but still no joy. I think that I might just have to admit defeat and do a re-install - if I can be bothered, which is unlikely!

    Local Intranet Zone Missing

I seem to have created quite a strange problem on my PC. I was trying to make some changes to the IE setup on more than 200 PC's at work. The easiest way to do this, I thought, was to create a .exe via Symantec Ghost, AI builder, which had the required changes. The changes were to add a site to...
