Thank you both, for your suggestions. So far, most everything I have read about Windows XP 64 bit seems that it is a nightmare to setup and administer.
I'm not sure that we even want to go down that path.
Thank you for your suggestions, Skip. I decided to not use macros in this situation after all, but I'll refer to that forum in the future.
The workaround I came up with is that the user can insert the picture onto another tab in the workbook. They can then paste the picture onto the protected...
I've had the request to figure out how to insert a picture into a locked worksheet in Excel 2003. Currently it is not possible to copy/paste into a locked sheet, nor go to Insert picture from file. The options are grayed out. Do I need to use a macro to do this? If so could someone please...

Hello,
We currently do not have an ftp server but are looking into adding one which I've been researching. Can someone please provide me with a list of steps or website guiding me through this process?
Also is it OK to put it on a domain controller?
And can someone recommend easy to use...
OK, on the problem PC, when I go to wmimgmt.msc, under root security I found out that "Everyone" has execute methods, provider write, and enable account permissions. But when I check every other subcategory (except RSOP) under Root, "Everyone" only has execute methods and enable account.

I've been trying to fix the problem with one of our users whose Office 2007 configures and then locks up the PC every time she tries to open it.
The local admin does not have this problem, but we make all users Power users.
Also, there is a message in the app. log: Event ID 63 WinMgmt: A...
Hello,
We have a Sonicwall Pro 2040 Standard firewall. Currently have no content filtering in place, but would like to get Content Filtering Premium for Sonicwall. Looking for something <$2000, and since Sonicwall offers that license, thought it would be the best choice.
Does anyone have any...
It is on the production floor. We have a lot of metal, which is probably causing interference. We are only using 802.11 g which is why I realized that we may have the wrong type of antenna with the 5.2dBi one.
We're probably better off just buying 2 antennas.
Another question though-...
We have a Cisco 1231AG AP with one Cisco Aironet High Gain Omnidirectional Ceiling Mount Antenna (AIR-ANT1728). We only currently have 1 antenna, although there is room for 2. I don't think we are getting the range we should out of the access point. Would we be better off by purchasing 2-Aironet...
When we have issues with a specific user and certain apps (usually Office 2000), we recreate the user's profile. You can do this using following steps.
1. Logon as admin.
2. Go to specific user's profile in following location: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]. Rename it [username_old].

Our 2nd dc died 6 months ago. We haven't done anything except to delete it from AD. I think the remnants of the failed dc are causing issues with group policy and adding PC's to the domain.
I tried doing metadata cleanup (with the above microsoft link).
Of course, when I get to the command...
Thank you for your suggestions. I've downloaded Wireshark and am testing it on my PC. Wireshark looks like it could be a very helpful tool!
Thanks again.
Hello,
We've been having problems with a group of computers disconnecting from the LAN sporadically. We'd like to find some freeware to install on a single PC which will monitor and log the LAN connection kicking off and on.
Can anyone suggest something which is fairly user friendly?
Thank...
Hello,
We've been having problems with several of our Dell Latitude D531 laptops. They have been disabling the local area connection for no apparent reason. I've unchecked the box in Power Management "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
What else could be causing this...
We currently have one W2K DC and are setting up an additional W2K DC which will serve as a backup until we take out the first one. I'm having serveral issues with the main DC and may be disposing of it later. Here is what I've done so far:
Run dcpromo
AD has replicated itself
