I need to provide someone with the Auditor role in System Manager 6.2 so they can view the settings for Session Manager/Routing. How do I accomplish this? I already set up a login with the Auditor role but cannot determine how to assign read permissions for this.
May I jump in and ask what is seen on the cell phone when the call occurs? Interested because we have been looking at an external source to carry those types of alerts (RedSky or E911etc) which is costly in itself.
I figured the firmware being old would come up but the issue was there even when we first put these phones out a few years ago and it is not the 9641s having the problem now - it is the 1692 Polys and yes, that is old too. Thanks for the feedback!
We have had a few instances of the last few years where a phone will not get a DHCP address after an outage or some reboot reason. A lot of phones will boot up just fine and then you may have one or 2 (even Polycoms will do it) where they go into Discover or get some other error. Clearing the...
I'm curious about this also. I have a system oversees using CM6.3 and their history log shows very little information. I have a system in the states on CM6.2 and it shows everything - even when soft phones connect/disconnect - each time that takes of 4 entries in the history log.
I have never renewed certificates before so I want to be sure I do not mess this up (strong emphasis on "I've never done this before"). We have System Manager 6.2/SP4 - our Identity Certs will expire 5/26/16. Is it a simple matter of just clicking on "renew certificate" or is there more to it?
Only to their DID; can be reproduced to their DID; our PBX vendor ran traces in all of our equipment - do not see anything; coming from multiple callers - different parts of the country - different clients. Provider has a PCAP - heard the noise and is asking for more PCAPs...they claim now it...
We have a user who is intermittently experiencing a loud fax tone and sometimes what sounds like road noise from a cell phone on his inbound external calls only. The caller does not hear this and thinks no one has answered so they hang up but we hear the sounds on our end. The issue is noticed...
Yes - we are using Crisis Alert by tenant now and that works fine. Thanks for the input. This request was posed to me by an office administrator who now calls security when they dial 911 to alert them but they are thinking outside the box in the event of a shooter since this does happen in the...
In thinking about that some more, I don't think that is an option either because it will more than likely alert that number every time 911 is called - and that means that external number will get 911 calls from any office in the country. Thanks again for weighing in!
Joe - are you saying that someone would have to call the virtual station number to alert them? We are looking for a way to alert them at the same time someone dials 911 and not just the internal folks who have crisis alert on their phones.
Thanks Joe2938! Yes, for the most part...but I am getting hung up on how the external number will be alerted. And, now wondering what that external number will see. I can just set it up here and give it a test.
Thanks - yes, I have set up remote coverages before. And that makes sense except for the statement "add station to crisis alert form" - what do you mean here? And I guess over all, trying to picture what is going to occur when someone dials 911...And, if another office in a different...
I know how it works internally. We are using it. But one of our offices wants to be able to alert an external phone number - security for the building that is not part of our phone system. So, we would also would not want to alert this number if other locations scattered around the country...
