Thanks so much for your response. We're not using the QUEUE aspect of Asterisk, but rather just a dial(sip/123&sip/124&sip/125), is there a way to have the same behavior on the phone though ? (maybe with a Sip add-header ?)
Thanks for your response Busster.
I'm actually trying to display an ADDITIONAL line of text.
For example, if I have a PBX configured for multi company (DID1=Company X, DID2=Company Y, DID3=Company Z), and an interactive voice response for each company that offers to press an option for sales...
Are you talking about overriding callerID name here ?
I'm talking about sending a line of text to the phone, in ADDITION to the callerid name/number. Thanks.
Thanks for your post, busster.
Actually, the people answering the phones don't have windows computers in front of them, just dumb terminals. I can't have a piece of software running on them. That's why I need to display the information on the phone as the call arrives.
I've seen it working...
Hello,
I've been trying to find out the best method to add information about a call at the same time the Polycom phone rings; additional to the CallerID name/number.
The SendText command seem to be the right one, but the documentation states that it requires an open channel, so I'd be more to...
Yup... I did.... But I wonder if mISDN is necessary as well, or not ?....
Anyways, I had spent too much time on this install, and had to finish quick, so I ended up using the lastest stable branch of Asterisk 1.4 / Zaptel. And everything works fine.
Guess we'll have to wait for Asterisk 1.6 to...

Hello All,
I'm running sendmail 8.13.8-2 on CentOS 5.2
For troubleshooting purposes, I need to be able to capture the full SMTP transactions and e-mail content between sendmail and the remote mail server during message outbound delivery.
One complicated way to do that would be to capture...
Hi Robb,
Thanks for your message. I'm not familiar with the switch command... Haven't seen it in the bible TFOT.
Can you paste an example or link to the syntax ?
Thanks!

I thought of that, but it's the pbx that has been CALLED that needs to pass parameters back to the pbx that was CALLING; the CallerID would be able to work the other way around...
Hello Annihilannic,
Thanks so much for your fast reponse. ALMOST THERE! There's just some extra code after the city name.

It is possible, and I've been doing it using the phone configuration file, with the "<feature [blablabla] />" tag and the "calllist" feature. It is enabled by default.
Basically, you need to locate which of the feature number the "calllist" is, within the <feature /> line. For example, in my...
Do I understand you correctly: you mean you have a lot of pages:

http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/file2.cfm
http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder3/folder4/file98.cfm
etc...
and you are working on one folder with all its subfolder, and want to avoid...
Hello Folks,
I'm trying to parse an HTML file to extract a city name, using bash scripting on Linux. The tags around that city name are always formatted the same way. Here is an example with LOS ANGELES:
