I just loaded the Ellipse 5.2.3.6 client on a pc (I have done many others that are fine). I can log in but when I try and run a MSO program i get a pop-up error
An error occurred when trying to access MSQ000.
System Error is "No such interface supported".

On a few of our clients the Ellipse Configuration property pages do not display the entire page and you cannot stretch the window to make it bigger. Has anyone seen this and know how to fix it?
Does anyone know where does the SYSTEM TYPE in the explorer title bar comes from? I would like it to change from PRODUCTION to TEST or DEV depending on which instance I am in.
I solved my own problem.
THe answer is that the env variable EDEENV_DBSHOST needs to be "localhost" even though the database is on another server.
We are installing 5.2.3.5. The Ellipse instance is installed on a Windows server. The Oracle instance is on a different server. I can connect to the database using ODBC from the Ellipse server but am having problems with perl scripts such as oracrtctx.pl.

We made a batch copy of MSO435 that reads input from a MST435 text file instead of the screen. It creates the appropriate file entries and then submits the request for MSB460 just like the online equipment logsheet entry.
I thought sp_pwd_tux was supposed to allow password change but we have never gotten it to work through the MIMS logon screen. I had a version that I could use in my own script but when we upgraded unix version we gat a new sq_pwd_tux which doesn't work the same any more.

This can ba a little confusing. Look in the table file (MSO011) at table MC to see the account descriptions for the error code. IN this case 0059 is "Batch Imbalance Suspense Acct". The program wants a holding account for any balance in case it aborts before finishing all of the line...
