    These are analog resident room phones and must be able to dial within the facility. I had already given that one a thought but was rejected. They are also on a PRI so the absence of D/T would create issues as well. Thanks for the response. We are just going to wait until that resident moves out.

    The cable is a straight through cable and I started at the 9600 setting. I have tried all the cables I have to include a null modem. What about the upgrade on the RAD? Could this cause problems if they are older version RADS? Don't know.

    I cannot direct connect to the RAD. I am using NRU 11.0. I have a dell latitude D520 and it has a serial port (Com 1). The serial port settings are 19200--8--N--1--flow control to none.     I have the exact same problem with an MICS. From out of nowhere the circuit will drop and sometimes several times a day. They are on LOGIX.     Disable outbound transfer in the COS. If someone needs outbound transfer put them in a different COS. Have the users use at least a 5 digit password, and set the attempts to 4. You can look in reports (mailbox information) and see if any mailboxes are set with any number for outbound transfer.

    How can you find (without being on site) the RAM cartridge version. My software version is 5.0. How can I get the version of the cartridge? Where can I find the SP codes for up to 7.1 software.

    I find it odd that this would happen to what is supposed to be a brand spankin new system. It would seem to me that if you have virginity on behalf of both the system and the s/w, that they should be able to mate with no problems the first time.

    OK the system was new in MORTEL box. It is V2 NVram. The system was tried without software and then with s/w and nothing has changed.

    This is supposed to be an all new system. Wireworks went to see if he has an older s/w version. If it works then maybe we do not have a new system. We will a no s/w boot up first.
