I had this problem when I first started working with this phone system blindly. Avaya kept saying the object was corrupted. ZeroZeroOne is right, first make sure it's not bridged or appearing, or forwarded etc. Once all that, then look up your number in System Mgr, then turn off the two sliders...
Hi all,
I was curious if there was a feature like the PCA (Personal Call Assistant) available in the Avaya Aura (Red) phone system. I somehow think that was an add on feature in the old Nortels but i'm not sure. perhaps it's called something else now?
Thanks.
Hi All,
I was curious if anyone had ever had a problem where all Avaya Aura endpoints would not get all 10 digits (i.e the area code + the 7 digits) our Aura pbx is connected to a CS1K trunk, which does get all 10 digits from the carrier. It has to be a simple configuration in communication...
Hey Stanley, I just got word that our fire panel dialer expects tone and voltage, the panel will not "blind dial" like the old hays modems used to do. uggg. I'm not sure how much further we can go now. I really appreciate your help.
Thanks Stanley, I really appreciate the reply. :-) so programmed everything as indicated, but I cannot get it to work for some reason. The only thing I did was aggravate people by enabling preo1 , which disabled their ability to dial 0 on a phone. LOL. Perhaps I could just use a hotline to dial...
so, dumb question,

ACTIVATE PREO IN CUSTOMER DATA

Hi All, is there a way to configure an analog number to be able to dial out without having to dial 9 to get outside? We have an older fire panel dialer that cannot dial out directly, and it cannot be programmed any other way.
Ok, I tried to out 19, and it still gave me an error, but it worked this time! I'm not sure why it would throw that error even though it was actually "out". You guys rock! Thank you guys so much.
Hmm, I looked up the ARS table, that sounds like a doable possibility. We wouldn't be using the Biz Phone, only the HALO dialer software, which is a third party dialer software.
Correct, they can call out, but cannot call out because the software is forcibly making them send 10 digits.
So, if they dial 555-555-1234, it needs to route to 1234. How is that possible?
Hey Kyle555, There's no trunking at all that I can am aware of. The extensions are built in Avaya, and work when dialed as 4 digits. But, Correct, the HALO software is trying to send 10 digits, and can't be modified.
Hi All, our Hospital just got on board with Halo, which is supposed to be a super duper secure messaging platform, however, they are not a PBX. Their software only wants 10 digits to be able to dial users, even though we're using the spectralink 9540 phones, which works just fine on Avaya on...
Oh, and to combine the @company.org#Primary segment with the extension number, you will need to use Excel, =G1&""&F1 (that formula will combine the extension with the number) then you can paste it straight down. I'm super surprise that Avaya does not have a VBS script that can bulk create...
ZeroZeroOne, Thank you so much for your help, and time and attention to a newbie like myself. It worked finally!
I'm going to attach the working example xlsx template, so that someone else like me can see what needs to be done. The password will depend on the environment standards.
Thanks so...
Wow, That worked for the user!! I can't thank you enough, that's a start.
The only other piece is to figure out how to add the endpoint to the user now. Having trouble finding how to add the communication address, session manager profile, and CM Endpoint Profile now. I never thought this would...
