Hi,
We have a UC540 setup with 4 ISDN connections, in the log files we see the following
253902: Feb 12 16:40:22 GMT: %ISDN-6-CONNECT: Interface BRI0/1/1:1 is now connected to N/ F;`
253903: Feb 12 16:41:35 GMT: %ISDN-6-DISCONNECT: Interface BRI0/1/1:1 disconnected from unknown , call...
Hi,
I have a member of staff that works from home quite a bit, we have EM on all office handsets so when he is logged out of the office phones his extension is configured to CFB to his mobile number which works quite well because all the people in the office have to do is dial the extension...

Hi,
I have been trying to figure out how to get skype connect working on a UC540 and there is very little info out there for how to set this up. I have managed to get this working now after a few days of head scratching and thought I would share the relevant parts of the config. I have it setup...
Hi,
We are having an issue when transferring calls.
Someone calls in, the person who answers needs to transfer the call to someone else so they hit transfer, they lookup the number to transfer too but before they have had time to enter the number they receive the fast busy tone. To complete...
Good Idea,
I have created another DN which the support DDI points to and set this as another line on CIPC with CFB to my usual ext#
Thanks for the tip!
I guess each dn would have to have a different ext# number?
The reason is the user remotely supports a number of field engineers on the CIPC (up to 15 teams a night), most of the calls require some port config changes etc to be done or issues to be resolved and the caller is placed on hold...
Thanks for your reply,
I thought as much, any idea how I can give the user the same ext# but have one profile setup so that when they log into a 7911 using EM they have 215 as a dual line and then when they log into CIPC 215 functions as an octoline? We'r using CME.
Thanks.
Hi,
Will the 7911 work with and octoline extension?
I have tried this and when I reboot the phone it does not come up with any ext. number, but it works just fine on the CIPC. As soon as I switch it back to a dual line ext. it picks up the number just fine on the 7911
Any Idea's?

Hi,
We have a few members of staff that work from home and occasionally come into the office and use what ever desk is available, also from time to time people move desks depending on what project they are working on. so we would like everyone to have the ability to use EM
I would like to ask...
Hi,
I have a uc540 with a mixture of phones. Everything was working ok until I loaded up CCA, I had a quick look through some of the menus etc. and turned on a few things like multi-party conference etc.
Now we cant access voice mail, you can press the button and you get the normal welcome...
Glad you managed to get it sorted, and the time out is a nice trick, didnt know that existed!
What did you have to change to get it to work?
Do you have any purple *'s to hand out? :)
Depends on the ActionTec Modem/router box,
Wouldnt harm anything if you tried assigning the ASA an address in the correct range an see if it worked.
If it Was a cisco router you could use static NAT to map an internal IP to an external IP
Hi,
Im looking moving our telephone system onto a uc540 with a mixture of SPA502G & 7942G Handsets
The SPA502 is listed as a 1 Line phone, what does this mean in terms of functionality? e.g. with a 1 line phone can the user still hold an incoming call and make an intenal call to someone else...
Nice drawing, what did you use to make that?
If you want everything on the same subent then you need a switch not a router, routers are designed to segment your network and route between subnets.
It is possible to do what you want using dynamic NAT here is a link on cisco...
This is because router 2's fa0/0 interface is not a switch port.
In this setup router 2 is deviding your network in to two parts (as it should)
if you plug a x-over cable from one of router 2's switch ports to one of router one's switch ports you should be able to connect both segments.
What...
...can be establised on one of the main site's interfaces but not on the other, here is the deug from the failing connecton
