Imagecast IC3 is a good program for cloning hard drives also. http://www.it-infusion.com/product_home/imagecast/information_imagecast.htm
There is a evaluation version at: http://www.ics-iq.com/downloads.cfm
Maybe you could use something different from Ghost? Have you tried this program? http://ics-iq.com/downloads.cfm
It's a free demo, so you might check it out before you buy something.
Yeah, I've heard good things about ImageCast. I found a demo version here: http://www.ics-iq.com/downloads.cfm
Might wanna try that before you actually buy a copy of anything.
I guess I should rephrase this question. Which B2B/B2C websites does your company or employer make their purchases from? I know most of us go to retail places for individual purchases, but for business purchases to buy 20 monitors or 15 UPS's where would those businesses go?
I'm asking b/c my...
I'm wondering what B2B or B2C sites that most of you guys do your purchasing from. What, if any, are the good sites out there if you're looking to buy computer periphs? Monitors, printers, UPS, etc.
thanks,
mr
I've done the same that that yvfwc did, except I used Image Cast 3 for Netware from old server to new. It worked almost flawlessly save for a driver changes. We do this for department computers and works pretty well for the most part.
best,

Hmm, has anyone here tried Image Cast 3 besides me? I actually think it's a very easy to use and has a nice GUI. Not to mention it's very fast (80mb/min transfer for 12 computers copying the same image).
As for drive image, I haven't used it myself but have heard good things about it from...
Try using the Image Cast demo version if you're using it for individual use. It retains most of the core function.

I'm not sure if other programs have demo versions, but Image Cast is the only one I know for sure.

I think before you use disk duplication, you have to make sure that the hard drives you'll be transferring from and to, are similar. But if you decide to use disk duplication, I highly recommend Image Cast 3. Their url is...
You can also try Drive Image or Image Cast 3. I'm not sure what Drive Image's capacity is, but Image Cast has a 2 gb capacity for each image also. The good thing is that it's very fast compared to the Ghost, according to some independent tests from one of their retailers.

I work in a computer lab at CSUN and we're gonna be reinstalling software on each of them. We need to install the identical software on 250 computers. What imaging software would be best equipped for this job? We're considering Norton Ghost or Innovative's Image Cast 3.
thanks,
mr
