I have a windows nt machine that was hacked. I would like to make a set of unix boot floopies that conatins the dd utility. Boot the NT box with the unix floopy, Mount the NT drive and the use dd to image it over to a new unformated blank disk.

Would there be a better way to do this ?

If you just want to clone you NT-drive I would suggest the program Ghost by Symantec.

make a win9x boot-diskette and put ghost on it. Use ghost to make an image of your nt-drive (partition or entire drive). Run ghost again, but this time choose to unpack the image onto your new drive.

Was this what you had in mind? /Sören
