I am using Microsoft Word for Mac version 16.12 (2018). I now find that, after inserting a picture into a word file that, after clicking on the picture, the Picture Format option appears, but after trying to resize it by changing one of the dimensions, the picture reverts to its original size...
When I transfer a lot of emails (from one folder) from my pc to my iMac (using Select All, Forward), they appear as attachments. How do I convert these to 'individual' emails, so I can put them into a folder and easily read them?
Thanks AngelArs
I am using 2015 version 15.18. I have managed to do what I wanted outside of Word by using Preview and bringing the finished picture into Word, but this is still annoying.
Can anyone tell me how to display all my subfolders in Mail for Mac (el capitan)? I've looked through loads of stuff on the net and haven't got anywhere. Thanks
Thanks for your reply, DrB0b
I have imported jpegs, onto which I am trying to insert and superimpose shapes (actually circles with numbers in them). I have tried your suggestion of 'behind of and in front of the text' idea, but they will not superimpose or lie on top of each other. I also notice...
I am trying to put numbers (actually symbols with numbers in them) on top of imported pictures into a word document. I found this easy on my pc, but now I've bought a iMac (el capitan) and am using microsoft word for mac, I can't seem to get the picture and symbol to 'superimpose', i.e. appear...
Thanks, mikrom. I found some stuff in my registry under 'Kromtech' (the company responsible for pckeeper) and deleted it. F-Secure installed successfully!
Thanks again
Martin (aka goldtooth)
I am trying to install the 'F-Secure' program on my pc, but it tells me to get rid of pckeeper, with which it is incompatible, and which I appear to have somewhere on my pc. There is no evidence of this program in the Control Panel / uninstall page. I have followed several of the 'recommended'...
Thanks for the info, DrBOb. Unfortunately my free trial period with this software has expired, but when I find another free icon creator, I'll certainly take your suggestion in mind! Thanks again
I have created a few desktop icons, using IcoFX2, and have tried to use them on some of my desktop programs. Some seem to work, and some don't. For the ones that don't, the icon I want is replaced by the default explorer icon. Any ideas what might be causing this? Thanks
I have downloaded and installed Quicktime 7 for the umpteenth time. When I try and open it (either via the installed icon or the filename itself in Windows Explorer), the program won't open, but the Quicktime icon appears in the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen, and clicking this doesn't open...
There is something running in the background on my pc which 'freezes' the pc for over 5 minutes (the hard disk is whirring constantly). This happens at start-up, and will kick in later whenever it wants to. I have tried to detect the problem using Task Manager, but no joy. Is there a program...
My website (written and edited in Dreamweaver MX2004) contains many pages, all of which contain tables imported as in 'web page' format from Excel.
There is also a main menu which links to all of these pages, but it would be preferable if I could add a shortened version of the main menu to each...
Thanks, all. So I still don't know for sure whether Spybot is 'looking for' Virtumonde files (and showing them during the scan) or actually detecting them. I suspect the former.
I have now asked my nephew (who is a pc wizard) to take over my pc remotely and have a look. I'll keep you posted...
OK, here's my enquiry to Spybot and the reply:
"When I run the free version of Spybot on my pc, the program spends, during the scan, a considerable amount of time 'looking' at virtumonde files. Virtumonde is a Trojan virus, apparently. Yet, at the end of the scan, Spybot reports no infections...
