I have created a few desktop icons, using IcoFX2, and have tried to use them on some of my desktop programs. Some seem to work, and some don't. For the ones that don't, the icon I want is replaced by the default explorer icon. Any ideas what might be causing this? Thanks

Ever get this lined out? Sure it isnt an icon size issue?

From the IcoFX2 website FAQ:
Cannot customize the icon of a folder:

If IcoFX does not have write permission to a folder then you will see the "Cannot customize folder!" error message. A typical example for this is the "C:\windows" folder. To customize such folders make sure to run IcoFX as an administrator. On Windows 7 you can do this by right clicking the shortcut icon of IcoFX and select "Run as administrator" from the popup menu.

Thanks for the info, DrBOb. Unfortunately my free trial period with this software has expired, but when I find another free icon creator, I'll certainly take your suggestion in mind! Thanks again
