It looks like I have found a solution. If I transfer the call to a group with 1 member, call forward that member to a short code, short code pointing to a VM start point (VM Pro), then use that start point to transfer it to the IVR, it works.
I've tried ringing directly to the IVR, and have it ring out to the group, but the same thing happens. When the call gets redirected back to the IVR, it still shows the group extension. I thought there was a setting "prioritize line, or prioritize group" but that might be on another phone...

The 500 V2 chassis gets locked to the release it was when the first call on the system was made. In your example R9. It will not run any software higher than that without an upgrade license.
I believe you're going to need more than just the essential edition license. You will need an upgrade license as well. If you follow Nortels instructions, it will include the upgrade license with it.
You would connect the ATA to the IP Office. It will have an extension number. Then you would connect the fax line to the IP Office. In IP Office programming you would assign the fax line to ring the ATA extension.
I think it's either on or off, not user specific. It's turned off in the Voicemail Pro Client preferences. In a handful of states it's illegal to record calls without consent of both parties.
I have a mix of j169's and 1230's. The j's update for DST, but the 1230's do not. If I reboot the 1230 it will pick up the correct time. Other than rebooting all the phones, is there a way to update the 1230's?

Can you use the same DID's for all systems in an SCN, or do I need different numbers for each site? I have 1 site with a PRI and 3 or 4 with just analog lines. I know I can setup different DID's for the remote sites, but should it work with the same numbers? Thanks.
