I know a few people in the UK who were allowed to take a six months sabbatical to go travelling. They were really getting a working visa & trying to find a job abroad, usually in Australia or America.
Most came back 6 months later, a few never returned and haven't looked back. Those that came...
Thanks strongm, that would make sense. When I ran the same checks on the PC at work I got three devices again, Mouse, Keyboard & LAN connection.
I have done a quick google search and there are a few ways of changing that, so I will give that a go.
So what normally happens when you try to recreate an issue, it stops happening. The same happened to me last night, so I could not identify the culprit.
I did check what can wake my computer & there were no waketimers. There were three devices however,
Mouse
Keyboard
Something by Realtek

Thanks for your thoughts, I tried them all over the weekend, but to no avail.
The link that Nelviticus provided had a few more ideas, but again they did not help.
If I ever find a solution I will post it, but for now I will just accept that I have to sign-off first.
Hi all,
Instead of shutting down I tend to choose sleep mode (not automatically after x minutes, but via the start menu)
If I have already signed out this works fine, however, if I am signed in it goes into sleep mode & then wakes up again immediately.
Is there something that is causing the pc...
A COMP-1 field is only 4 bytes long so can only store a maximum of hex "7FFF" which is 32767 in decimal.
If you need to store a larger number then you will need a different COMP- field.
If you google "Cobol COMP" fields you will find a lot of explanations of the COMP-1 to COMP-5 uses & size...
Hi All,
I have googled this as well as searching the forum where I found this (563117) and from what I can gather what I want to do is not possible in SPUFI (I already have it running in a CICS program, I was just intrigued to see if it was possible within SPUFI).
I have a parent table & a...
I am not in work so can't try this at the moment, but I would've thought you would need a combination of the following.
Use Char, Digits & Strip/Ltrim to get a string version without leading zeroes, then use Concat, Substr & Strip/Ltrim to create the date you want (I can't remember when STRIP...
I think both quotes could be interpreted differently. Personally I would interpret each quote in the following way.
Quote 1) That one freight rail company called ABC serves 78%
Quote 2) That only one freight rail company at a time (may be many different freight rail companies though) serves 78%...
Have you checked to see if the program you are XCTLing to is not looping or getting any locking issues?
This could explain why one user is okay & another is not
Cutting the first cake into 1/4 & 3/4 means that Marie will only ever get 3/4 of one cake & Jeremy will always get 1 whole cake & a quarter (since both cakes are equal in size).
Case 1 - If Marie picks the 1/4 of the first cake then Jeremy will cut the second cake in half exactly, so it doesn't...
That's fantastic, works like a treat.
I will have a play with the colour settings on the mainframe and in the code above, until I get what I want.
Thanks for your help,

Hi,
I often have to produce test scripts that include Screen shots.
I have two questions.
1) Can a macro be created to adjust all screen shots / pictures to the same size e.t.c
I can do this OK one picture at a time, if I select the picture & then play the macro. However I would like it to...

In your fist statement try
having Count(distinct Srv_Dt) >= 2
In your second statement you are trying to store the count in a date field.
Hope this helps.
I Lie, one last go
SELECT * FROM TABLE WHERE CALL_DATE = '20070822'
Also seems to work here, but again, whether or not it will help you I don't know.
I can only think it is the way in which the "Dates" are stored / fields defined is different to where I am.
What format does it display the date...
