I'm struggling to find the formal Avaya doc, but I want to hang a remote office GW/h.323 phones off a different CM core. From that GW to the new CM I'm getting 150ms when running ping tests. Is that a safe number to move forward with?
My SMGR and ASM certs are due to expire in 30 days. These are not 3rd party certs or certs from our company pki. These are Avaya certs. For the SMGR identity certs do I just highlight each service and select renew ?

Does anyone have experience with the Avaya stack running in AWS? AWS has a console utility called SSM which is a similar function to a VMware console only it looks like the AWS flavor requires something to be installed on the server themselves. Does anyone know if installing that is supported?
Can anyone point me to a good read on what the steps are to activate the standby SMGR and if there are any limitations if you are running off of it? I was told this isn't a fully automated process and requires some manual intervention.
I have a call with our BP and Avaya tomorrow to gain clarity on this, but from what I'm hearing is they really are forcing VMware. Not just as an on-prem hypervisor. Even in AWS, they are going to force you to run VMware which is going to make this so costly. I was told I'd be grandfathered...

In the settings file we specify a backup path where the endpoint data is stored. I see call log and button personalization labels, but I do not see the manual contacts that someone added into the phone. Is that a separate setting to have those backed up?
While slowly rolling out SIP flashed endpoints we are seeing nuances like:
1. There is a bit of a lag in pressing keys and the phone reacting. It's not as crisp as h.323. Is that expected behavior?

Struggling to understand how SIP phones (both internal and remote) get their time and know about dst. Are they reliant on the settings file for all of that? Seems like DST settings are 'rem'd' out but have a default value. If these phones were in Europe, do those settings need to be adjusted...
