I recently uninstalled Visual Studio from my computer (don't know if it is relevant).
I am running Delphi XE on Windows 10 Pro x64.
When I click on Delphi XE icon, the program tries to start, briefly displays splash screen and then pops up dialog box "Error" and message "Item not found". I...
>>restored my image backup of Windows 7
>Waited longer than 30 days, eh, so couldn't use the built-in reversion feature?
When I tried to use Microsoft's reversion program, it reported an error saying it couldn't find the files to revert to previous version. Microsoft Knowledgebase recommended...
I have a Dell 15R (N5110), it is the laptop that originally listed as "Good for Windows 10". I did an image backup of the hard disk and then verified I had the most current BIOS and the most current device drivers installed. Then I let the Windows 10 upgrade install. After the install, the web...
That was a month ago, I didn't keep the link. I know I found it while searching the Microsoft website. Here is the Dell.com link--

I have 2 Dell Inspiron 15 laptops. After upgrading one to Windows 10 just to see what Windows 10 was all about I had nothing but problems. At the time (2 months ago) all the information I could find indicated that Windows 10 wouldn't run on the Dell because of incompatible drivers and according...
I have seen GWX Control and all my other computers had Automatic Updates turned off except this one I seem to have missed. I had two computers that automatically upgraded to Windows 10. One I reinstalled Windows 7 back on but learned a lesson or two about "Lifetime Licenses" as far as software...
So far, Micro$oft has "Accidently" installed the Windows 10 upgrade on my computer, "Accidently" excluded a critical update log file so I can't rollback the installation and makes it extremely difficult to set defaults to anything other than Micro$oft products and then they brag on how good...
I already tried setting up a different user account, still had the problem. Corel support says they are aware of the situation and are working with Micro$oft to correct. And as usual, no response from Foxit. Well, they say to use their User Forum but I have been Banned for Life by the Forum...
I have tried from the settings-system-default apps, from the settings-system default apps by type, from the programs themselves but after 1-2 days Windows 10 says it encountered a problem and HAD to reset the defaults. About 50% of the time the settings-system-default apps don't list any option...
Does anyone know of a way to prevent the Micro$oft Virus (aka. Windows 10) from resetting the defaults. I usually have Foxit Phantom set as default PDF and Corel Paintshop set for graphics. However, every day or so Windows claims to have a problem and resets them. I have to reboot the PC before...
All ready tried...

The problem is on my desktop, my notebook works fine. I looked at the security settings on both and didn't see anything obvious. After reading everything I could find on the Microsoft website, my next options seem to be uninstalling and then installing IE or changing to a different browser.
Windows 7 Pro x64 with Internet Explorer 11.
I Tried a couple of 3rd party programs based on previous suggestions.
Then I tried Internet Explorer-->Safety-->Delete browsing history... (All options checked).
I also tried Internet Explorer-->Internet Options-->Advanced-->Reset Internet Explorer...
For the past few days if I search on Bing or Google, Internet explorer displays the normal page of search hits. Then when I click on any of the links I get "This page can't be displayed" error. Sometimes I can click page 'refresh' icon then the page will load but most of the time my only option...
I am running Windows 7 Pro x64 with Microsoft OneDrive (SkyDrive) and the program keeps adding the following entries to the startup.
HKCU_RUNONCE
Uninstall c:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\SkyDrive\17.0.4035.0328_1
A week ago was the first entry and now I have
HKCU_RUNONCE...
I purchased a Dell notebook a couple of years ago. Three months later, the hard drive crashed. I called Dell and they sent out a technician to replace the hard drive. It was replaced and the 'authorized' technician left. I found out a few months later that it didn't contain a recovery partition...
I started with Turbo Delphi 3 and did the regular upgrades to Delphi 2007 for Win32. Then I took a break for a while (C# and HTML). Then I upgraded to Delphi XE and on up to Delphi XE4. No big money, just a lot of small money. For whatever unexplainable reason, I usually reach for Delphi XE...
