I have an Avaya 4412D+ phone (connected to a Merlin Magix) system that is having an issue. The voicemail light is flashing red and nothing else lights up on the phone. No dialtone, nothing. The phone itself is good as it works in other positions. The wiring also seems to be fine.
Any thoughts?
I have a cordless phone extension on a NEC DS1000 system that was damaged. We have an extra cordless handset lying around. How can I set it up to replace the damaged handset/extension? When I plug it in, it says on the screen "Acquiring Link" very briefly, then the message goes away and...
I got the extension working. I was able to find a copy of WinSPM and get logged into the system. The extension in question had Forced Account Code Entry and Remote Call Forwarding enabled. I took those options off and now the phone works fine.
A question I have now......does the Magic 515A...
Both intercom buttons produce "inside" dial tone. Every feature of the phone seems to work fine accept access to dial tone. I have not yet checked for any allow/disallow lists.
Don't see an account code associated with this extension. ARS Restrict is set to 3.
How do you check allow/disallow list?
BTW.........thanks for all your help. I'm new to this brand of phone system and your help is extremely appreciated.
A different phone makes no difference. The problem seems to be with the extension. All I know is that before I took control of this, the ex-administrator supposedly wiped out that phone's voicemail box (and it is claimed that is all they did), but since then the lines don't seem to work.
I recently took over support for a Merlin Magix phone system with a bunch of Avaya 4412D+ phones hooked up to it. I have one station that I cannot get dial tone on. When looking at the line key assignments on the phones, I notice that most phones, for Line 1 for example, is assigned as 801-N...
I have inherited support for a Merlin Magix 515A. I need to add a new line to the system, and I have run the line into "Line 816" on the unit.
I was in the system config, and when I add the line to my own extension, it seems to work fine. I try to add the line to an extension in another...
I know that my system is not Nortel, but I didn't see a Sprint section so thought I would ask here. I have a Sprint Protege 616 system that I just recently assumed control of. It is a 3x8 system. There are currently two lines on the system and the customer would like to add a third line into...
So, let me see if I have this straight.......
For incoming mail it's just a matter of changing the MX record to point to the new gateway, for outgoing messages change the properties in ConsoleOne under SMTP/MIME of the GWIA? Do I add addresses in both the GWIA and relay hostname fields?
I built a Postfix linux box that will do anti-spam/anti-virus for my Groupwise system. Is there anything I need to do to the GW system to get it to route mail through the gateway? I have already changed the MX record for the domain so all incoming mail comes to the postfix box and then is...
I would like to be able to access my Windows 2003 server from home via remote desktop. I have a linux box that serves as a router/firewall for my corporate network and I only want my home IP to be able to connect in this manner. Would the following iptables commands allow me to connect from...
Hello,
I have several 350 series Cisco bridges that connect to a Windows 2000 SBS that has Cisco ACS on it for some simple username/password authentication.
I am getting ready to retire the Windows 2000 server and replace it with a new Windows 2003 server, but have found out that my version of...
Sounds good. I have a very small organization that I am maintaining this Groupwise system for, and right now there is only 1 mobile device we have to worry about, so I think I am going to go with their hosted solution. Sounds like this product is a no-brainer. Thanks for the information.
