I just ran across this issue and was banging my head for days until I stumbled across the fix. There are all sorts of posts on this issue without this fix so here it goes.

Exchange 2k3 SP2, Windows XP SP2 with Office 2k3 SP2.
I have configured three computers with RPC over HTTP. All connect and can receive inbound emails, as from Internet users or others.
However 2 out of the 3 have the following problem, when they send an email, either to themselves or anyone...
Greetings,
When files go offline and sync, XP automatically adds a double blue arrow onto the icon. The problem is, it covers up the part where the single black arrow would be if it was a shortcut.
Apparently, even shortcuts are sync'd so there is no way to tell if the file is a real file or a...

Disabling user interface elements
You can set policies that disable menu commands, toolbar buttons, and shortcut keys. By setting these policies, you can help prevent users from changing or gaining access to particular features or options. A menu item or command bar button that has been...
I see there is an option to remove the command from the menu bar in the first place.

But, I need to find out the control-id for that menu command.

I cannot seem to find a way to prevent users from permanently deleting and purging out their dumpster in outlook / exchange system, whether by a group policy or registry hack and import.
I know the work around for adding the DumpsterAllwaysOn=1 registry key to allow me to access the dumpster on...
Ok good news, I was wrong. In a live exchange environment one does need to rebase single instance appointments. They were off also.
Apparently when I copied the appointments out of the exchange store into a PST, that affected the results of my previous testing.
I will be running a complex...
Thanks ShackDaddy,
Well, that is Microsofts answer, sortof. Is this exchange group with Microsoft or inhouse? The first handler I talked to at MS support after waiting 7 hours said that only Recurring appointments store DST info. This is what my testing proves. It is only recurring appointments...
Additional testing. XP Sp2 without DST patch, scheduled recurring appointment. Installed DST patch. When rolling into DST the time is off only for the recurring appointments. So recurring appointments due have a problem, however, I am 90% certain that single instance appointments do not.
I hope...
Whatever you do, dont call microsoft now, the wait times are 8 hours due to the DST issue.
You want to make sure that all of your servers and exchange servers are patched fully with all the new DST patches and up to SP2. There is a DST issue with recurring appointments.
Please review the...
Here is additional information and repost from another thread.
I have been spending hours in trying to get msextmzcfg or msextmz to work in updating the time zone information for outlook appointments in exchange. I have not been successful.
I decided to take a computer that had the XP...
Upon further research I found that only if the computer rolls to the new zone on its own will it update the time. If one manually changes the date XP does not roll the time.
However, even when auto rolling, none of the events in the extended DST period change or are off.
I will be attempting...
I have been spending hours in trying to get msextmzcfg or msextmz to work in updating the time zone information for outlook appointments in exchange. I have not been successful and do not feel like waiting on hold for 4 hours with Microsoft. See other DST thread on my errors.
So I decided to...
I have completely given up trying to run msextmzcfg.exe
I receive the error:
HrProcessMailboxTable:Unable find mailbox timezone:Error 0x80004005
This DST issue is the biggest Microsoft flailing I have ever seen. Horrible KB documentation, waiting to the last minute, coming out with hotfixes...
I allways use the up arrow, copy cut and paste buttons in windows.
Is there a way to add these buttons, or some third party add on if they have been removed.
Thanks Bill for removing the functionality I have used for 13 years or so.

Dennygee, you are using it on the domain, I am using it over a WAN to manage remote servers.
Capice?
Thanks baddos, but, I now have to go look up all the domain names for all my clients and servers whereas before I didnot have to.
Why does MS take away functionality?
In vista they took away...
I found a fix!
http://www.petri.co.il/download_rdp_5_2.htm
Download and use 5.2. =D I am primarily connecting to 2000 and 2003 servers. I have a folder with 50-60 saved RDP connectors I just double click on to connect, enter in password, done.
I wonder if 5.2 will connect to Vista or not...
