I found someone on site today that was willing to re-seat the clan and that did the trick. One problem however is that it also cleared all cached cdr records. Does that make sense that they would be lost when the clan is re-seated?
Hi, I am working with a G3Si V12. The CDR link is showing down w/ number of retries at 999. My login does not have maintenance permissions, so I cannot use "busy/test/release cdr" commands. I was told to try "cha ip-serv" and temporary flag RSP to "no", but that did not have any effect. Is...
I have five routes defined in my system that I do not believe are in use but want to be sure before removing them. I have checked ars analysis, aar analysis, rhnpa, and udp and can't find any reference to them. Is there someplace else they could be referenced that i should be looking at? or...
edelliot - it is plugged into the keyed adjunct port on the bottom of the phone (not the analog adjunct or rs-232)
jordy- Thanks. That is not the polycom he has, but at least it tells me it could be a supported setup. Do you know if there is any configuration required for the adjunct port...
I've got a user who reported his polycom would disconnect when he joins a conference call. I made some basic test calls and it seemed to worked fine, but sure enough when I attempted to connect to a conference bridge it immediately disconnected.
The polycom is a Lucent Soundstation and he has...
Thanks TivoNut- Your solution is the one I was trying to avoid. Not so much for my site because we have excess trunking, but some of the field sites have just one outbound PRI and I'd hesitate to partition it for this purpose.
I do like your cell phone idea though...
mrjedi- Thanks for your response. My customer is currently setup (using the public numbering command) to send their main listed number for all extensions. This allows them to be somewhat anonymous, but since they are providing a valid CPN they get through even when anonymous call rejection is...
I have a requirement where the customer wants to display their actual extension only when calling certain locations.
I see that the 'public numbering' command lets you change the CPN based on the trunk group that carries the call, but the customer does not want to dedicate trunks for this...
If my collection interval is set to 30 minutes, is the calculation for the % occupancy field in the canned Trunk Busy Hour report ((dtkgrp.BH_INTIME + dtkgrp.BH_OUTTIME) / (36 * dtkgrp.TRUNKS)) still valid? I am thinking the 36 should be changed to 18.
Does the TN2464 DS1 board support ISDN PRI? I am currently using TN464 boards for PRI, and am trying to understand the difference between the two boards. Thanks,
I purchased this board (a while back) and was told it supported both S/T and U interfaces. I can't find any docs on it and the folks at the Definity help line were less than helpful. I need to configure a U line with two station (not trunk) type b-Channels on it. Am I correct in that this...
I had this same thing a while back. Ended up tracing it back to some analog modems that were chattering. Basically, they would go off hook then back on again a couple, three times a minute. Confirmed it by doing a "list trace station" command and watching it for a couple minutes.
If you want high availability/reliability you should definitely use a fiber mux. Lucent and Fujitsu (and probably others) offer what they call "carrier class" muxes. Here's a link to a Fuji sonet mux that can be configured for terminal (point to point) configuration...
I have seen this also. A quick work around is to change the FRL of the first route step, so that it is higher than that of your stations (I set mine to 7). This will force your users to the second step in the route. Once the T's are back, you can restore the original FRL.
Among their customers, the most common explanation that I've heard is that it is an abbreviation for: Apply Vaseline Around Your A#!$. I believe this has something to do with price negotiation process.
Can you schedule a broadcast message? I see in delivery options how to schedule a message and how to broadcast a messsage, but can you use both options for the same message? If so, which option do I enter first, or does it matter? This is one of those situations where it'd be nice to have a...
Have your agents note the dialed number, the ANI and time and date of the call with the crosstalk. If you have CAS, check there to see which trunk(s) the call came in on. Call your carrier with the issue and ask them to trace through their network. Most carriers would request that you call...
I had the same problem once before and it ended up being a problem with the LD carrier. The same caller was being presented to two different trunks at the same time. Can you tell if the call is coming into your agents on the same trunk?
