CMS 12 Login Via ASA 1

Hey all,

I seem to be running into a problem trying access CMS through ASA over IP. I get the login prompt, enter ROOT and then the password - but it just hangs. I've confirmed the password works by logging in directly at the terminal.

Any ideas?

Have you tried logging in as a different user (not root) to see if it behaves differently?

CMS R12 prevents you from logging in as 'root' via a telnet session. You have to log in as a regular user and su to root.
