What to do with programs 10-12-06 and 10-12-07 in dual wan scenario?
I have a client on Comcast with their cellular backup, whenever Wan1 goes down and router switches to Wan2 SL2100 loses registration and never able to register sip trunk over Wan2. Is it normal SL2100 behavior? If so, what’s...
Never mind guys. Phones are working. What happened is rj11 plug I’ve installed was kind of tight fit and it bent all legs inside the jack of the phone.
I could swear I checked that yesterday, I guess I’m getting old
Yes I installed rj11 plug directly on the cable leading to a station card and probably got it on wrong pins inside the jack.
I can’t think of anything else. If changing polarity doesn’t hurt a phone something else did
It is SL2100 system and phones are from the previous sl1100 system. Not the other way around.
I also thought polarity don’t matter, but I burned 2 phones somehow. Could it be a bad port on the station card?
The phone was supposed to be mounted on the wall phone plate, but I didn’t have short...
Is it possible for a digital phone to burn out after miswiring of tip and ring?
Two 12 button IP4WW phones were connected one after another to incorrectly wired jack from sl2100 system station card. Both phones are unresponsive now.
It is unfortunate, but apparently inevitable.
I have a dilemma now. I was in process of switching my client with multiple locations from sl1100 to sl2100 for the purpose of SLnet and interconnect.
They have 6 locations now and planning on opening 4 more in next 2 years. I already have 6...
Has anyone tried or using "browser phone"?
I have a potentially nice client with 3 dental offices and plans to open 2 more plus call center next year. He is currently using Weave and not happy with the cost/support, the only thing he likes is their desktop integration which looked sort of like...
I backtraced my confusion to SIP trunk tutorial on youtube NEC official channel, according to it there are diffent cpu cards CPU-C-1A does come with 4 sip trunks.
I was having hard time configuring clearfly sip trunk with sl2100, when i realized trunk license is missing, but activating free...
Could someone explain it to me or point me to the licensing manual for NEC SL series
Does SL2100 comes with 4 SIP trunk licenses?
If it does, will they be removed when VOIP daughter board is installed?
Same question for SL1100, because I just looked at the system licenses on my spare system and...
@DoubleDriveLine, you are right, there is a problem with access permissions. If I try to visit former NECNTAC it shows this message:

@CoralTech it’s easy for you because you know SV series very well and SL series are identical with less functionality. How did you get training back in the day for SV series? My first ever pbx was NEC DSX which is nothing like SL.
To register with NECanytime I need to contact a Channel...
Feels like NEC is planning on abandoning SL series all together, no training material, no upcoming webinars.
When official support site is broken, it says it all
I’ve been on that channel. There are couple random videos, but they are more suitable for someone who already knows the system and needs help with some of the features.
I own sl2100 demo kit and tried following a video on analog trunks quick install using initial setup wizard in PCpro and at one...
Hi everyone, I’m looking for SL2100 system programming training. I did install a lot of DSX systems back in the day, but never got to SL series and now have some old customers asking for upgrades. Basically need to get back into the game.
My NTAC login doesn’t work anymore, it seems like dealer...
I think Adtran makes dual WAN SBC capable of switching between ISPs.
We looked into it few years ago. But instead of trying to add redundancy to sip connectivity, we added PRI through different ISP.
Your approach will not protect you from outages on sip side
I had similar situation where a client wanted to monitor his vacation home.
I went with 2GIG alarm panel with cdma module. $19/month for self-monitoring subscription including data plan, so no ISP needed.
You can monitor and control you thermostat, add whole range of RF security sensors (doors...
